  1. In my opinion you managed to cure that detail error very convincingly.
  2. What an excellent beauty and what a load of work... wait I see something in my crystal ball... I predict that in the near future someone will ask you for permission to feature this plane on a certain website I hope I'll ever get so far so nicely with my bomber.
  3. Ah I will take a look there now (I was only looking at threads that I participated in )
  4. Looking really great, as far as can be judged from the distance excellent finish!
  5. However be sure to ask if the "ersatzteileliste" is included. It is a list of spare parts and is highly illustrative. I do not see it on the overview but that doesnt mean it is not on the dvd. Good luck!
  6. I mean the. "Cd-Reihe Luftfahrttechnik" The more and longer you have searched for pictures that can show aspects and details for your plane, the more you will be in awe and astonishment when you see that 3500 pages Dvd.
  7. If you want to make sure, and especially if you intend to superdetail the Junkers, I strongly advise you to consider ordering a Dvd with all relevant factory docs @ Hafner archiv. Link in my Heinkel build thread (sorry, I am again in a train).
  8. Judging from Guttorm's thread and analyzing that Revell's (probably, am in train and cannot see referred manual image) reference to Rlm66 could be influenced by their wish to make life easier for modelers combined with the fact that all Ju88s cockpits were rlm66, if I were you and further research would not straighten things out, I'd choose wood. The Gardermoen restorations are regarded as very well-researched and probably they not only encountered the wreckage with woodwork but also double- checked it by means of blueprints, temporary interior pics etc, whereas Revell probably did not.
  9. Looks like the real deal. I love it when someone really takes the time to make a nice base. It shows.
  10. I think this thread is a great idea and will see if I can find a project grom my youth.
  11. Only tiny suggestion I'd have is to wash the lines surrounding the 16 bomb bay doors a bit darker. They could individually be opened so they aren't panel lines but real (be it very narrow) openings.
  12. Well SD I've been busy for two weeks to research what a bomb bay looked like exactly. Reading, drawing, reading, translating... even cleaned the working table as it is not in use now; but I'm having the time of my life and just now I solved the last puzzle. The search is better than the catch. And we can all see that in your build, as the quality and eye for detail clearly proof that you are having a great time building this monster. In the end you'll have a very correct and very detailed specimen.
  13. Any chance you'll complete it with a scratchbuilt rope and a scratchbuilt Me 321 as well? This is in 1:72:
  14. You're going to make a 1/32 111Z?? Now that'd be one ambitious project! Already anxious to see you ehm... sculpt that. Ontopic: I think that, indeed, with quite a bit of scratchwork around the middle engine purchasing two kits should suffice.
  15. Looks like this idea makes a lot of sense. I'll keep my eye on this thread
  16. I'm not the only one who has had a very nice experience with Revell's "Abteilung X". Here are many similar stories: http://community.revell.de/viewtopic.php?f=110&t=398 all very positive.
  17. Revell's service is excellent. I managed to completely ruin my Heinkel's right fuselage half (don't ask) and e-mailed them requesting for a new part (offering to pay for the part and/or shipment). It took exactly two months, but in the end the part arrived nicely wrapped in a plastic bag, in its turn in a nice sturdy box. All free of charge. Just send an e-mail to: abteilungx@revell.de Be sure to include your address, telephone number and as detailed as possible what part is broken. To give an idea, my specification of the part looked like this: "Type: Heinkel HE 111 P-1 Scale: 1/32 Kit no: 04696 Part no: 124 Descr.: One of the two fuselage halves (right half)" In case of a smaller part such as a canopy, I would have included an instructions page / drawing number on which it is to be found. The more precise you are, the more chance of immediate success. Good luck!
  18. Love to see that little heap of scratchbuild card stuff by the way
  19. Looking good! Are the rivets going to be raised or recessed?
  20. This is just marvelous. I hope I'll be able to get a result somewhere close to this beauty on my project.
  21. Will fly over and make detailed photographs of the Heinkel 111 end of February. Very much looking forward to it.
