  1. I'm thinking I could upscale the Matchbox kit as a guide if I can't get any drawings, I really want a 1/32nd Privateer..
  2. I still want one and I still want a Privateer conversion. I may attempt to do the conversion myself....
  3. Bought the HKM B-17G.... after weeks and weeks of pondering.
  4. Little update - I've drawn around the Kinetic kit's internals and some other parts and enlarged on a photocopier to 150%. The bulkhead does need a bit more sanding as I cut them a bit larger so I could sand them to a better shape. But a test fit is good....
  5. I'm well and truly getting into this....some photos so far. Still needs some more sanding around the tail area (still too thick!), but I think I'm going to cut it off and redo it as one then re-attach it to the fuselage. It's going to be fun attaching the engine nacelles to the wings.... guess that's the fun part of vacforms!
  6. Is that rotor sag your doing, or how they come in the kit? Looks great! Superb model too... love it.
  7. Having done a tour down the Falklands in April-August 2006, I actualy hadn't heard of this story.... must have been horrific witnessing that as it took off, as if they wasn't having a hard enough time down there as it was... Great looking model.
  8. That is really nice.... want to build mine but I'm going to hold out for a while yet..
  9. Quite possibily yeah, not looked that far into the build if i'm honest.. Regarding the build, it's in full swing. I've been all over the place with building recently, becoming a dad in Sept, health issues and other stuff all got in the way but i've been keeping my feet in with it. Brought the Tracker into work today and despite being busy, I've managed to get all the surfaces straight and sanded down finally! I will get some photos up later on or over the weekend.
  10. I've thought about one various times in 1/48th using a Revell CH-53 rotor head and what ever else I could scavenge. 1/32nd would be amazing and not to hard to scratch build, just the rotor head and tail rotors being the hardest part that I could think of... wonder how big the fuselage would be
  11. http://www.letmegooglethat.com/?q=hobbyboss+harrier+1%2F18th+for+sale
  12. From what I gather, no research done on these 1/18th 'kits', they are the Merit pre-made kits sold as a kit instead, with a new decal sheet and a instrustion sheet. But I agree, a 1/32nd Tucano/Super Tucano would be pretty smart.
  13. Three kits i've been after for some time, even though the Heller CL-215 is being re-released I had to pick up another.... All 1/72nd Heller CL-215 LiftHere! Turbo DHC-2 Beaver Welshmodels L-188 Electra Also, not bought recently but don't you just love it when you find more kits than you think you had LOL I've gained a Tigercat and Skycrane... saves me looking for them!
  14. This is going to be great. I have thought about doing this with a CL-215 from 1/72nd to 1/32nd, but not how you've done it with the plaster, that's great. I now have a 1/33rd card model CL-215 though... that I've cut out and making up the bulkheads etc.. very much like Pete's 1/24th Tigercat. Going to enjoy watching this come together.
  15. If it get one it'll be cockpit open, covers on...
  16. Very very tempted Iain, the simpleness of it appeals to me, the cockpit would need some work though..
  17. Anyone got one yet? Loads of hype about these on Facebook... if I got one, a Italian one or Spanish one would be my choice of scheme, assuming the kit is right for them. I'm still holding out for the TBM Avenger to be released though!
  18. I really want a B-17G, i'm just struggling with parting £300 for the kit! You may have seen these before.... some of Mr.Parkers. Good luck with the build!
  19. I'm allergic to cheese, must be the tiredness! Haha
  20. Hope I'm not dreaming it but I'm sure It's been mentioned.
  21. Bit slow catching up, but I will have to get a He-177... my favourite of the bombers... what a beast. Recently bought the MpM 1/48th kit of it. Not starting rumours, but did I see ages ago talk of a 1/32nd Tracker? Not saying by HpH but I'm sure it was mentioned in here... I'm pecking away at the Tigger 1/32nd vac and I just know as soon as it gets somewhere, one will be announced. (hopefully!)
  22. Hi Jeff, thanks for the reply and many links! Very helpful... never heard of 'Odd Bob' before, so i'm going to have to order one each of the AT 802's! I was going to scratch build my own, so this will be a lot quicker. I have a lot more fire bombers on the go, a Guardian, a few helicopters etc... but just consentrating on the three posted for now... great aircraft and colour schemes. This is my website and I run the IPMS UK 'Special Interest Group'. Sadly, it's slow, not as much interest here in the UK, but I'm building it up bit by bit. scalewaterbombers.wordpress.com
  23. Thanks guys for the comments! Work has been slow building, my business has picked up ten-fold so my own time has been filled up with being a new dad or sleep! But with Telford on my mind, it's time to get stuff done for my Water Bomber SIG. The Mars is on hold, it needs more time than I can commit to it... so I would rather spend that time on three to get these done. Heller DC-6 to be done with the rare Leading Edge Conair sheet. Hasegawa P-3 to be finished as a Aero Union P-3 but not in the bright red/white scheme. and the CL-215 as seen above, cowlings being modified, scribed etc... should be due for markings soon.
