  1. Thank you, This kit is on my gimme list. Is this the golden age of scale modeling or what? Happy History
  2. Welcome Aaron, The Cam Mk.82's # R32-020 are top notch resin but the surface of the bomb has a coarse texture. Would be relatively easy to sand down if you care to. Happy History Cal
  3. Hey Dave, looks like you got it. The sand of time is running out on this build. Are you going to make the finish line? I'm in Windlake.North west Racine county. Happy Hobby.................. Cal
  4. hello Dave, Looking @ pictures of a bubbletop P-47D-40,the main fuel filler is between the windscreen and the cowl flaps on the right side. And the aux fuel filler is just above the wing to fuselage faring on a line in front of the flap on the RH side. hope this helps? Happy Hobby................. Cal
  5. Hello, Although I don't think vintage Revell kits merit this kind of attention I applaud your effort. To me, The supposed difference in engine firewall/bulkhead dimension's aren't anything to be bothered with. Are you native European? Your English is rather good. Happy hobby............... Cal
  6. Hello Martin, If you want to build the 1/24th P40 (and I think you really do)then by all means go right ahead and have a blast! I'm plugging away on the Trumpy 32'nd kit. I just look at kits like these as a way of developing my modeling skill.I'm doing a major alteration to drop the wing down to the correct angle of incidence and thus get the pit floor closer to real. But If you build OOB you will still have a nice little(big?)replica. HappyHobby! Cal
  7. Hello Jon, My two cents worth if I may About the photo of F4U 17804 in Pacificwrecks,Why would the red border be in almost new condition when the rest of the colors are rather sparse and very faded. The 'red' looks more like a floresent pink color. It is obviously a tweeked photo to my eye. Some people feel the need to rewrite history. HappyHobby!
  8. Hello Martin, Just noticed 3 kits on e-bay,don't know how to give you a link but I typed p 40 curtiss and paged thru U.S. sellers to International sellers and there are 3 of them for sale.one sellers address is g-gerba@orange.fr If you do score a kit, heaven help you. Good luck Smudger! HappyHobby! Cal
  9. Hello BlackHeart, Looks like Fine Art to me. How did you make such an ungainly airplane look so beautiful! Sweet!
  10. From what I can see in the photos, ooh la la,beautiful! What is your opinion of the kit? happyhobby!
  11. Hello John, A short note about design painted on ammo pod on left wing of 69. Bert Kinsey in P-40 warhawk in detail part one stated design is a women's face and Francis Dean in his masterpiece said it's a turtle. Guess again gentlemen! It's a frog, showing everybody the CO's bird has jumped the equator. Did the decal designers get this one? happyhobby! cal
