  1. Because it's not that expensive, you can build a lot of models with 1 jar, it doesn't stink, and it works perfectly. Hairspray seems to work very well, too. (just look at the awesome chipping on Michael Rinaldi models...)
  2. Great model and impressive details ! I love than engine !
  3. Very cool ! I cross my fingers 360°. No problem for the time it would take. I do have a lot of builds running and so many projects, so i'm really not in a hurry. Hope you beat that bad cold !
  4. For the ICM reboxing, the Revell one was a bit more expensive than the ICM (in France).
  5. If it is the old Revell Mirage III, i'd prefer buying a Italeri kit, even if it's twice the Revell price. I think it CANNOT be a rebox of the Italeri kit at half the Italeri price. It must be the old Revell one, and even if it's cheap, it's a lot of work and you'd need a lot of parts to upgrade it to Italeri standard. Or it's just a price error.
  6. Very nice to see you back ! I've got 3 MiG-29 kits to upgrade + parts for F-14 and F-16. It seems it's time for an order ! Is there any news about the A-7 correction set? (i mean the windscreen...)
  7. Very nice model with very realistic weathering. I think it's the first Trumpeter MiG-29A i see, and it looks very good. How did you find the cockpit out of the box?
  8. Nice job ! If i remember correctly this aircraft was called Spare Parts and did not have any serial as it has been rebuilt with a lot of spare parts from other aircraft.
  9. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-32-ME-109-TL-I-Resin-Kit-Conversion-for-Hasegawa-ME-109G-10-K-4-See-foto/282899141654
  10. Thanks ! I think the Zotz set is for some british harriers, but i will look for the Phoenix sets !
  11. Hi, Is there any decals sets for the 1/32 Harrier II + or for the Night attack version? I recently bought both kits, but i was often disapointed by Trumpeter decals, so i'd like to get some AM decals, but cant find any. Did someone release some for these versions?
  12. Thanks Iain. I have that kit (the single seater) with several resin sets from Aires, if i remember correctly i have the cockpit, the exhaust, maybe the wheel bays? And a very nice booklet with profiles and a sheet of decals. Mine will be italian with the cavalino on the tail. I hope i can solve those details issues. As long as the overall shape and dimensions are good, it's not that bad. And the kit is very cheap for such a big box. By the way, thank you for your review ! It seems that Olimp models bring some interesting sets, but the quality is not that good. That's the second time i hear that. And what a strange resin color ! As it's been said, some parts look strange as if they have been burnt (kind of black edges).
  13. Not sure alcohol would work on water-based paints like Vallejo or AK (vinyl type i guess). It will certainly help to strip it, but it wont disolve it smoothly like it would with alcohol based paints like tamiya or gunze. Only a try would tell !
  14. Seriously? I've heard only good comments about that kit (not the cas for the Trumpeter one). It's not so good?
  15. I think that in many languages one uses the same word to mean british or english. In french, we usually use the word "anglais" that litterally means "english", but it's usually also used to mean "british". The good word should be "britannique", but almost nobody use it except in the papers or in a rather formal language. People are not even really aware of the difference. Maybe there is also an historical factor.... We made war with the Kindgom of England for about 1000 years and we were allied with the scots. So in this pre-united kingdom era i think the french knew the difference between the people living on the british island, and as it's the King of England who became the King of Britain that may be why we still say "les anglais".
  16. You won against that painful fit. I remember i had some issues with the belly, too. My wings were strangely twisted and i looked for a solution for days, i even ended gluing aluminium profiles to strenghten them. But when i glued them, it just solved the problem. Good luck for you build !
  17. Indeed the recent price increase(s) made WNW kits not so affordable... I was lucky enough to buy most of my collection when the small kits were $59.... Actually it's like i had 1 kit every 3 kits for free compared with today prices (not even counting the shipping costs).
  18. I think it's the only one i dont have... I've bought the E.III late and was not very interested in the E.II/III early. Now i regret it.
  19. 1 : no back-up sight, there is nothing on the IP coaming. 2 : yes it was only mounted if needed. On most pictures (taken on the ground of course) it's not mounted. 3 : Not easy to find pictures of what's under the canopy behind the seat.
  20. I already had this too. But i used it anyway with no problem.
  21. It seems that it's not called "power flex" in the US but just "ULTRA". I dont know how it's called in South Africa. You should look for the "Rubber toughened formula". I think it's this one in the US : http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/sg_ug_cntrl/overview/Loctite-Super-Glue-ULTRA-Gel-Control.htm In Europe :
  22. And you need some exceptionnaly strong fingers muscles to open the cap ! It's usually the tube that twists on itself but the damn cap doesn't move.
  23. I use super glue power flex. It's a CA glue (gel type) but with more flexibility than usual CA (which is quite brittle). I think it's a good stuff to glue resin parts, and easier to use than epoxy.
