Just wondering I have seen two reviews where the gun cowl, spinner and prop blades don’t fit very well. I have AIMs upper gun cowl which I think fits well and fixes the gun spacing option. Love to hear opinions. Thanks
I bought this set when it first came out and I think the only thing I used out of it was the cooling vents .
Barracuda studios has a better set I feel

The surface detail on the Helldiver kit is really awesome but some of the interior detail is kind of soft but this comes with the nature of a short run kit .I do plan on building one here soon I'll be doing some 3D printing most of the interior and engine cowling because I feel this is where most the attention is needed .
Over all other than the I love the kit .

You are absolutely correct, your time is money. You are also more than welcome to design a 1/18th scale pod, sell it for $65 and will probably sell a few. In the meantime, I'll design and sell the pod for $15 and probably sell a few dozen. More importantly, I will have saved other modelers a lot of money while still making enough to keep the operation running.
I have no interest in doing anything 1/18 scale .it's not the scale I prefer to work with.
In the above post I was only giving my opinion there is only one modern aircraft that comes in that flavor that I know of.
Anything that I have made and drawn up are items that I have designed for my self that way I know fit and quality is top notch .

But it's already designed and commercially available, so you can't factor in a design fee on this one.
Sorry, with the technology available in today's 3D printers, that price simply can't be justified. I print and sell 1/18th scale GBU-38's and Mk-83 1000lb bombs (in sets of 2) for $20 and still make a decent profit. I just released a 1/32 AN/ALQ-164 DECM Pod for the Harrier that retails for $10. Based on the time it's take to print it, as well as the amount of resin used, I could easily do a 1/18th version for around $15 and it's roughly the same size as the LITENING Pod.
I may not be the best aftermarket company out there, but I guarantee my prices are the most reasonable.
Sure I can my time is money

$65 for a single pod is utterly ridiculous.
I'm already working on the pylon for the 1/48 Hasegawa and 1/32 Trumpeter kits, so scaling it up to 18th scale won't be a problem. The LIGHTNING Pod is on the list for the smaller scales, but it too can be scaled up to 18th. Both won't be done soon, but before the end of the year for sure.
$20 tops.......possibly less.
For anyone to design what you are looking for you will be paying them to design it and then you will be paying for the print . This wont be a chip find I think 65$ would be your best bet

I bought one for exactly this purpose, used it once, and my airbrush has never been the same since.
Kev
I remember reading somewhere that using the ultrasonic cleaner was on your airbrush was not a good idea because it would pull the solder out
