Kev, Dennis, Thor, Mike and Woody, thanks a lot for the comments fella's! Woody, I stuffed up quoting your post by trying to do it on my Ipad, for some reason I just couldn't get it to take any text, I have three books on the P-47, but from memory, I'm sure I used the scale drawings out of the smaller one on the far right in this pic, by Robert Peczkowski, the drawings dont have the name of the publication on them they came out of....I don't know how accurate they are, but it looks a lot better to me than having plain panels. Cheer's Jeff.

Well, I finally finished construction of the engine, it is the Quickboost one with some detail added with lead and brass wire. LSP member Juggernut informed me that the Quickboost set had the wrong distributors for the P-47, I needed the "Turtleback" ones, so I modified them to try and look more like the turtleback type.....on this system, the dual magneto is eliminated between the distributors, and blanking plate installed in its place. Its not 100% correct, but as close as I could get to representing what I think should be there. I thinned out the cowl flaps, and separated them. I also thinned out the side scoops, thinned on the left, standard on the right. The cockpit is installed in the fuselage, and taped up for painting....riveting is done, hopefully, but its hard to see in this pic. Thats it for now, thanks for looking, Cheer's, Jeff.

Well thats a big let down for me,...I was really hoping for the B-26, I have zero interest in the other bombers they have done, except for the B-25, but yet, I have never modelled one,...oh well, hopefully its something I will be interested in. Cheer's, Jeff.

The most amazing thing to me about all this Tom, is where you are working on this beast!.....the quality of work and size of the subjects I have seen you do over the years, I thought you would be in the equivalent of a laboratory.I could not believe it when I saw this pic of you working on the lounge, with a small table with a cutting mat in front of you.....amazing stuff! Great work! Cheer's, Jeff.
