Uncle Les reacted to Anthony in NZ in Aus Model Expo Pics
Les, I thought your 339 was the star of the show mate......although I wasn't there.
The standards looked very high overall.

Well, it sure did get noticed Les....practically every Kiwi who has an interest in modelling I am sure, would have loved it!
For me...….
But you know that already! How about a 32nd Airtrainer….after the 339 of course
Well, we can live in hope that you might do something with the masters.....
In the meantime, great job with the model anyway
Cheers

Uncle Les got a reaction from Jack in 1/32 Aermacchi 339?
Cheers, it tanked in competition - but excelled in being noticed ! I've got to get the MB326 out there and it's taking longer than anticipated so once that's done and I see how it goes I might change my mind on doing something with the MB339 masters.

Uncle Les reacted to Anthony in NZ in Anyone for an RNZAF Skyhawk 'Kahu' panel and HUD?
Ok team
How long has it been??? I am too scared to look at page 1 to find out!!
This has been a long and very expensive undertaking. Initially it seemed like a good idea and pretty simple.....how wrong was I! I am sure things can be done better and more efficiently if you were to start from fresh today, with more knowledge out there. I have gone through several companies for help, but have finally got a result for the first part of the Kahu Conversion in 1/32 scale. I have given the green light to print, then once I receive the parts I can test fit, all being good I can then get all the other 'lumps, bumps and antenna' printed.
See here:
When this has all been done, I want to be able to support those first few people at the start of this who contributed to the development with some money to get the first ones at 'cost' then if there is any further interest I will see if there is a company who might want the patterns to produce for their own range. That way, it will make a Kiwi 'Scooter' available for all those wanting to do one in 32nd. Kerry and I designed it to fit the Trumpeter kit, but when the test prints arrive I will see if I can find a Hasegawa kit and see if it fits that also.
Thanks for everyones patience who have been waiting
Cheers
Anthony

Uncle Les reacted to SharkOwl in A 1/32 Mirage F-1 from …… Revell ???
We can also hope after their 1/32 Mirage IIIC and Mirage IIIE plus their superb 1/32 F-104G and future TF-104G, that if ITALERI keep on going
to expand its 1/32 ''Cold War'' Jet Fighter family, that a Mirage F-1 could be a very wise choice with worldwide appeal for the large scale modeller
market.
The very large sales they will make with their 1/32 F-35A could certainly permit them to finance a 1/32 Mirage F-1 mould !

Fantastic model, hope we see a kit in 1/32 soon, maybe from Revell...

Uncle Les got a reaction from EvilCarrot in A 1/32 Mirage F-1 from …… Revell ???
The model was entered as a composite - Revell Mirage III ( front end ) & Revell MiG29 (wings) plus scratchbuilt components... but the manufacturer part of the entry form only shows the major branding. Thanks for calling it superb ! - Les

Uncle Les got a reaction from D.B. Andrus in CAC CA-25 Winjeel
Wow, you didn't waste any time getting into it ! I recommend using the opaque vacform canopy supplied as a guide to getting the fit right and to act as a sort of mask for the coaming - but you'll work all that out. I'll watch your progress with keen eyes !
