    Very good !!

Little did you know that in 111 Sdn they painted them shocking pink and referred to them rudely as what came out of the Zipper !

Aha the possibilities are endless .

So.......... Hasegogo from 1976 ....think 1/72 but thicker .....boy this one's thick . Quick to build though. Going together with ease ....

Also - Spent 3 hours playing with my Silhouette todays , I might be able to make some roundals now .

Renamed the thread as this clearly won't be anywhere near Chuck's country , and I don't think the book will help me either

More music though ....so that can't be all bad .

Ready for cockpit check .....I relented and have a resin bang seat on the way for later in the build .
Which means the lower mould part of the seat had to be chopped out hence the hole ....or maybe it's for downwards ejection ...

So hows the fit Womble ???

Well here’s the old fupstick in my Seam Persuader 3000 TM , just getting ready to apply the Bondo. I’ve found about 20lbs is just right to tighten the fuse together. CA ‘n Zip kicker round 3.
Reckon a few coats and we should be good to rock. Like how the glue imitates life ...

He's made no mention of it, though ILK (as I prefer to reference them) is releasing an M4A1 76mm with VVSS at some point.

I have mine on pre-order from HLJ. That is also where I got my Gecko Models 1/16 PzIIc A/B/C, which is no where to be found in the states; not even for pre-order.

Oh, also, it took a long time for the I Love Kit E8s to be available over here. Noo Sprubrothers has them all in stock. Hopefully, that means they have a line on this new M4A1 Kit.

I looked over the "I love kit" (yeah, dumb name) Easy 8 kits and compared them closely with Andy's by reviewing the sprues. The "I love" has a peeve of mine, all the periscopes are all fixed.  Dragon has been doing rotatable periscopes on their kits since the late 90s on 1/35 at 1/16 not having them seems terrible. On the Andy's they all rotate if they are supposed to.

Also on Andy's E8, you also get a very nice replica M1A2 gun that can be detailed into almost its own little kit. In fact, I've been trying to figure out a way to buy a few loose Andy's sprues, to build his E8 Gun setup to mount outside the hull, without having to sacrifice the whole kit.

The upgraded Ilove, came with some ok Photo Etch and a resin figure, but at almost 280 bucks its not a nice enough base kit for the price.

Now, hopefully the M4A1 comes in right around the one fifty price point, if so, I'll life with fixed periscopes to get an M4A1 75.

@BiggTim an M-51 would be interesting, not a WWII tank, but still a Sherman...

David loved Kitt too. But I agree, what an exceptionally dumb name for a plastic model brand.

My 1:200 I Love Kit USS Hornet (CV-8), is in fact the Trumpeter kit, just considerably cheaper.

I Love Kit released 3 versions of the M4A3E8 in competition with Andy's Hobby HQ. Rumor is they are a Trumpeter affiliate. Anyway, at Scalemates listing for the M4A3E8, they do link an in-box video review. I haven't seen a good comparison anywhere but if really associated with Trumpy, they are probably not error free, but probably fixable.

Not much progress lately due to a bereavement in the family. Just messing with small, simple parts to keep things moving.

29 February 2024 was the handover of the first M1A2 SEP v3 to the Australian Army. I’m hoping that this’ll shake loose some images.

On the v3, the rearmost skirt, sometimes referred to as #7, can be hinged forward 180 degrees & latched to the #6 skirt.

When folded, this’ll be the inside part. Note the added dust/weather strip on the top.

    This’ll be the visible bit.

The Tamiya upper hull is molded with the skirts attached, so the #7 on both sides were removed.

Here’s a comparison between the kit components & the folded replacements.

Time to do the weather strips along the top of the skirts.

    Thanks for looking in.

    Good morning to all

I would like to share with you my super detailed cutaway of the old Airfix 1:24 scale Ju87B.
I just love this kit and decided that I wanted to do something a little different.  I wanted to make a cutaway of the Starboard side plus the wing. After searching dear old Google for hours to get some sort of info I started.
I built this many years ago and sold it on, so the photos are from way back! ....so apologies for the quality of them!

I haven't been active on here for a long time as I have moved back to the UK from Bulgaria.. so I do hope I remember how to load the photos!

You bet, Steve. I will post it here. I am in the middle of another very time consuming project at the moment, then I will be able to get back to it, as well as some other ideas.  sucks having to work it around my regular job! I need to retire so I can just do this all the time, but that would require taking a significant pay cut!!

The original conversion that blackbetty, Harold, and Pinsolle did was excellent, and I do have all of those parts exactly as they made them, with the exception of the vac-formed canopy. I can do that, too, I just haven't yet. The remaster that I'm working on builds heavily on their great work, but incorporates the cowl and front end from Jumpei Temma's great 3D models, so that the swelled front end goes back past the wing roots. That's been complicated to do, as you might imagine, but I'm confident that it will work.
