  1. What exactly are the differences?
  2. That would cost hundreds in resin alone, and wouldn't hold it's own weight, probably! A 1/64 version might be possible, but it would still be 3 feet wide. By comparison, a 1/32 B-29 would only be 4.5 feet wide....
  3. Well, duh. I don't know how I missed that, I'm on Gambody once a week! And holy crap, at 1/32 it's wingspan would be 6 feet!!
  4. Has anyone produced any good 3D models of these yet? I'd love to print one at a larger scale.
  5. I'm not understanding what on that sheet is subject to trademark laws. I do not see any USMC logos on that sheet at all, or did I just miss it? Have they trademarked the word "MARINES"?
  6. X2! I recently started using this software and I love it!!
  7. Thanks, guys! I am planning to update that catalog and add some new items as soon as I can actually get some time to sit down and do it. Tim
  8. Boy that is really nice! The finish is awesome! T
  9. That is SUPER cool!! I wish I had the space to build stuff like this, but I'm just not going there! T
  10. I'm betting Reskit will make the Pave Tack pod at some point. I've been avoiding the stuff I think they are likely to make simply because I don't want to spend a bunch of time making it only to have them either beat me to it, or do it better. And yes, they are better at it than I am. Tim
  11. Holy smokes, buddy! That is really outstanding! Makes me want to build one...
  12. Agreed. And I know first hand how hard it is to get something like that off the ground.....even for a "side hustle".
  13. I learned an interesting lesson about 3D printing yesterday. As some of you know, the way SLA (liquid resin) printers work is by curing the liquid in successive layers by shining a pattern of UV light up onto a clear membrane on the bottom of a tray of resin. Each layer "sticks" to that clear membrane a little bit, so there is a slight "pop" when the build plate lifts to do the next layer. The greater the surface area of the layer, the more it sticks to the membrane. I tried to print something yesterday that had much more surface area than I've ever tried before. When the printer reached the first full layer, I heard a loud wind-up noise and then a VERY loud sort of "twank" sound as the printer struggled (and then succeeded) to pull the print off the membrane. It was so loud it startled me! I stopped the print immediately and will find another way to approach that. So, for future reference, when they say to orient your model to keep the surface area of each layer as low as possible, they aren't kidding. T
  14. It doesn't take a lot of work to make the Hasegawa kit look like a Hellcat pretty much out of the box. And if you want to jazz it up, there are lots of things out there to help. Here's my example: https://www.largescaleplanes.com/articles/article.php?aid=2401 and there are way better ones out there.
  15. I've done that before. Especially the 1 week "free trial".....
  16. My thoughts exactly. I loathe all things Apple.
  17. I suspect that outfit would provide about the same level of protection as the rest of the Stormtroopers. Maybe more, since most people would be too distracted to shoot straight! T
  18. Me too! Very inspiring!
  19. I am not well versed in the manliest of aircraft scales, so I am only aware of the 1/24 Stuka wheels that AMS produced. Which, of course, I can now supply you with if you should need them! Tim
  20. Odd. How about now? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Mm4jB1q3pwksECSnktIumYPct_wSkMMq/view?usp=sharing
  21. I'm always willing to take a look at any prospective projects. The worst that could happen is that it either exceeds my abilities, or my spare time, and I pass on it. Feel free to send me what you have, and I will look into it. Tim bnbresindesign@gmail.com
  22. Thanks for the kind words, Dennis! These are available at 10 USD per set of 5 (though as Dennis can attest, I will include some spares in case of breakage). I also have the larger 100 round style available at 13 USD per set of 5. I will include some photos when I get home from the regular job today or tomorrow. Tim bnbresindesign@gmail.com
