I was lucky enough to get this kit as a already started kit for $10 usd. This will be gifted to a great friend who brought me back into the hobby. I am so glad I have Chucks recent build to use as a reference. I am going to try my first metal finish so wish me luck. I will build her wheels up to look like the rocket she is. Will use a pilot from a Tamiya kit. This is the box but does not have the Decals so i will be using aftermarket.

1/35 medevac helicopter medical equipment
USMC Herc replied to Hawkwrench's topic in Works in Progress
May I make a suggestion... Make square blocks about the size of your bad. Let em dry. Slowly build up your folds with thin sausages of putty. To make seams place a thin layer of putty there and use a scalpel/ razor blade for seams. Small pieces of foil/tape cut to make the zipper grasp. Looking great sir. Cheers -

https://www.anycubic.com/collections/sales/products/anycubic-i3-mega-s I am thinking about getting a 3D printer.I want a good 3D printer but I cannot afford much more than $300. I watch so many people here LSP printing so many models and details for them. I hope in the future some of these guys will share there files for all of us to use. Any suggestions on a good decent machine would be appreciated. I appreciate ya'lls assistance in advance. Jason

I love Reedoak/ Norborts great looking pilots. It is unfortunate that he has not produced any any sitting figures for the 70, 80, 90 Navy and Marine pilots. (He is currently in the works to get these figures produced). Who has the best detailed pilots for the F-4E?? Thanks and Cheers, Jason

Scratch building a landing ship medium in scale 1/35
USMC Herc replied to rammstein's topic in Non-LSP Works
Rammstein what a beautifull ship! Quetion: Why have you not painted the items as you have built and placed them unpainteg?? With all the tight places , it looks like it is going to be a "kitten. kitten" to paint. If you where able to carry this to a model some how to a competion, I would enter this model in the not painted section or ships. I am certain you will a medal. Cheers Jason -
if you believe pitot is to long. Could you use stretch sprue? Would liquid filler (supper glue , wood glue, childrens white glue, etc) have enough tension to blend the sprue into the nose? It is looking great. Cheers Jason

GDW you have grafted so many great model parts to make this Egg look awesome. Was asking about the missles as an Idea I had was looking for a few in the spars box and cutting them down to give the look. The main gear is looking great. As you noted the stance of the phantom looks great. Cheers Jason

Update-2/13/20-1/16, M1A1HA Abrams, w/ TUSK I upgrades
USMC Herc replied to Barry's topic in Non-LSP Works
Why are you1 Giving a butter bar Leutinent a M4. He cannot even hit the side of a barn? He shots worse than a Storm Trooper. You are doing a great job building the Gun Station. Putting armor around that 2nd Lt. is smart... Cheers, jason -
Looking beautiful. This is the best I have seen in Japan or USA. These aircraft are built alot in Japan. In all sorts of paint schemes. But I have never seen one upgraded like this. Question are you going to place any air to air missles for the Marine Phanto ? Cheers, Jason

Both heads look awesome sir.Helmet open face with glasses ....nice one.

Norbert. I love the Figures have have given us modelers. Your figures are beautiful. May i ask if you plan on doing any more seated USN fighter pilots? It would also be nice to have a few head options as seperate purchases for the pilots of each era. Visor down no mask yet, visor down mask, helmet on with full face showing, no helmet (with or without sunglasses). I see and love your many helicopter crews but we need more Jet pilots. Cheers, Jason

Using thin wire and larger, wrap smaller wire around larger wire into coil. Stretch and bend hose to desired position and length. Cover with white glue and tissue like many of us did as a kid to balloons in school...

Barry I cannot believe you gave a nasty civilian the job of sighting in the Ma Duece with metal sights. It is pulling six inches left at 200yrds. Please give Gunny the Ma Duese to sight in correcty. By the way the civilian even deblued the 50. I have no clue how he pulled that off. Jason -
John this coming along great.Looks to me like you’ve got the colour just right. Now I am going to be critical on the weathering.... In the picture above of the aircraft being loaded with 50 cal. The panel of the feed tray would also be dirty from mechanics opening and closing.I do not think the weathering would be pulled black as gun dust. Panel would have have more dirty black and brown just along the panel line. The USAF markings on the top could be even heavier weathered. Looks as if the loaders have worn the "A" just about all the way off.The "S" is heavily weathered and the next "A" has some good damage. The aircraft pulling into a left roll... the Oil Cooler will leak oil. Which would leave brown streaks behind the cooler. and older leaks would have picked up dirt, grime, etc. would make a huge black color. And looks that when you glued the napalm tanks, you dropped glue on the left tire. now the good.. with current weathering it looks good as a total package. The weathering looks as if the aircraft has just gotten into country. Jason
