meanwhile while i let the airplane rest till is dry, i foud that i need modern look tires, and for the mustang you will find only WW2 era tires, so i bought a pair from Baracuda resin and filled all the lines i dont need on the tires and this is the result, not bad

I am moving to the next area, the nose plug, first i drilled the center section of the nose plug to reduce the weight of it

The fiiting of the nose was quite simple and forward, very nice fitting and simple work of filling to remove the joint of the plastic and resin

Some update, started to fit the flat resin belly plug to eliminate the radiator inlet, the fiiting of this piece was not the best, the resin plug was warped and the resin didnt went all the way in the mold, as you can see in the picture how the fitting was, had to cut the plug in order to make it fit the fuselage better

after lots or sanding and filling i managed to finish this firs modification.

Also i removed the vertical stab end so i can place the plug for the longer vertical tail

Next step will be the hardest one, try to mate the resin nose with the kit fuselage , i will keep you guys up to date later

Let the surgery begin, i started with the belly radiator inlet, it is history now, thougt it will be difficult, it turns out it was a simple task

and here is the resin plug for the belly to replace the missing radiator inlet

The new nose is a heavy chunck of resin, minimal detail, i had to redo all the panel lines and will add some detail like cowling fasteners and try to replace the little access doors with PE spare ones, the area painted in black at the back of the nose is the area i will drill to reduce the weight of the nose

here is a general view of the turbo mustang

ok, so i call it done the interior, here are some pictures, also i did some tryouts on the fitting of the resin nose, and for now this is what i can say, the fitting let a lot to be desired, the resin nose is wider than the fuselage, about 1mm on each side of the fuselage, i dont know yet how i will approach this issue, tomorrow i will post a picture of the problem, so you guys can give me ideas on how to address that problem.

I have been working on the fuselage paint and some weathering, you can see the sub assemblies of the model so far

a closeup of the fuselage, next step is to paint the bottom gray and decals

and overall look of the model with all the modules on

and with the the engine nose section

hello all, i decided to start this year with a 1/32 scale kit instead of my regular scale of 1/48, this will be a OOB kit except for the cockpit instrument panels that came from Quinta Studio decals.

As always i started with the cockpit , then i did the engine as this model have interchangeable nose section one with the engine cowlings and one with just the engine

In this pictures you can see both nose sections in place with magnets

Next step will be the top camo on the wings

i know i have a different way of building and painting my models, i build them in modules and paint it in sections the models, then i put everything together.
    Next is the R/H wing

so far this is what i have done so far

and this is how it looks all together

Hi guys, after a long brake finally started and finished a model, this is from MRC with the Zactoman resin conversion , first resin pieces that really fit like an original piece, also in this model is my first time using MRP paints, let me tell you, best paint ever used in my life, after this tryout the other paint brands are gone for me.
    Hope you like this one

this is my last 1/32 kit , first for 2021, i dont build many large scale airplanes, only the Alies classics of WW2, this time is the spitfire, it is almost OOB build, just added resin wheels and PE seatbelts, and some wires to the engine, hope you like it guys. Engine cowls dont fit perfectly, but the model will be displayed without the engine cowls

I just used Red Fox panels on my F-4C, they are great and gives life to the cockpit 100%, quinta studio is taking too long to release the 1/32 version of the F-4C
