  1. Hi, For this kind of work I use Gunze paint with approx 60% thinner and 5-10% of paint retarder. This will lower paint build up on your needle - but will extend drying time. You'll need to spend some time finding the best air pressure etc. setup as it is based upon many factors. Although it's not pencil thin, the lines on this 1/48 He-219 were painted in one pass.
  2. Hi Radu, The WWII video clearly shows that the slats of a presumably operational 262 don't stay in closed position and that if they do so they need to be adjusted. Your video shows that the slats of a museum plane that has not been in flying condition for decades behave differently. I believe the slats of a restored/new machine in flying condition would be more relevant to attempt any conclusion in the matter.
  3. I'm building the Revell (Monogram) 1/48 kit and the least I can say is that it has been a tough struggle to make it look acceptable to my eyes.
  4. Thank you Jennings but my intention is to build it with the speed brakes closed, therfore I wanted to be sure that it's not technically impossible for a parked aircraft. My machine will have NMF tanks, thank you TBC!
  5. Hi Guys, I have a couple of questions for 102 geeks J 1) In the Flight Manual it is stated that (after landing) "The speed brakes should be left in the extended position to facilitate turnaround". I guess it is to allow for the parachute to be put back in place for the next flight. So my assumption is that the speed brakes were left opened intentionally and not because of a drop of hydraulic pressure (which would rather make them close I suppose). As I want to build my 102 with speed brakes closed I guess that this configuration is technically possible for a parked aircraft. Can someone confirm? 2) I intend to build the following plane. This plane is an early model that was based in Langley during the late fifties. Does someone know if there is any picture of any of the planes of this unit fitted with drop tanks? (drop tanks were introduced in 1958). Thank you!
  6. Hi, What is the reference of HPH resin canopy? I'm only aware of the set for the BN. Does it also include a corrected windscreen? Thank you.
  7. Hi See here for the Quickboost: I found the Eagle Part casting of the cowling less sharp.
  8. Test shot of the 2000C... https://www.facebook.com/groups/369828906819827/permalink/654015201734528/
  9. Hi Maybe the photo you need for the intake. It shows a Mirage IIIS (Swiss), derived from the IIIE. The front landing gear is specific but the rest should be the same. I took it exactly at the right angle. Cheers
  10. Thank you Chek! I'm afraid I'll have to choose another delivery as I started this build months ago and I'm almost at the painting stage. I've already put great efforts into this kit so I'm not going to convert the wing type. There are many other attractive schemes, I'm not too worried. Cheers
  11. Hi Chek, thank you for this picture! I am, however, rather interested in the following scheme. Maybe only case XX planes wore it...
  12. Hi Guys, I'm looking for a picture of any F-102 from the Pennsylvania ANG with a serial number lower than 56-1317 (Case X wing). According to this website: http://www.forgottenjets.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/F-102A.html, this includes the following planes: F-102A-60-CO s/n 56-1136 F-102A-65-CO s/n 56-1202 F-102A-70-CO s/n 56-1249 F-102A-70-CO s/n 56-1274 F-102A-75-CO s/n 56-1309 Thank you!
  13. Hi, That's a beautiful 172! A very nice paint job in particular! I used to fly the one on the photo, which was equipped with a Thielert (Diesel) engine. Nice memories!
  14. Hi, Yes, the first photo shows the correct magnetos for Gabreski's D25. I built it few years ago: https://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?/topic/53495-132-hasegawa-p-47d-in-gabreskis-markings/ Cheers
  15. A couple of 190 and a K4. Colors legend is not from me. Note the low 81/82 contrast.
  16. Actually, there are at least 3 different propellers that can accommodate this spinner. See there: https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234980181-hawker-hurricane-propellers-and-spinners-a-modellers-guide/
  17. Hi Guys, I'm looking for photos of Hurricane Mk IIc JX-W Z3899 (1st squadron, Tangmere). I could only find the below image, which is a screenshot of a movie. Nothing else in my references. I'm more specifically interested in a photo of this machine engine off as I'd like to identify the propeller type. This is for Trumpeter 1/24 kit, a WIP will follow. Many thanks for your help!
  18. Hi Alain, The missile is indeed the same but was in use before the Mirage improvement plan (addition of plans canard, etc., from 1988 onward). Aim-9P's are still in use on the F-5E, this is probably the reason why they are not displayed in a museum. But all of this is just a detail of course! Cheers.
  19. Hi Alain, Congrats for this IIIS! This is the first one I see that is converted from the not so easy Italeri kit and you achieved an excellent result. Small remark, this Mirage would carry AIM-9P rather than the older AIM-9B model. Cheers Tristan
  20. A beautiful build of a gracious airplane. I saw a real one in the Technikmuseum in Berlin and was surprised by the size of this one. This is not a small bird!
