  1. I thought next up was the Korean War GB. I have my HPH MiG-15 ready..... Mike
  2. 1. Just getting started with 15 in the LSP stash. 2. My non-LSP stash is pretty much completed, so building up my LSP stash is my next goal. 3. Interest in the subject. 4. Price plays a large part in what I buy. I always look for deals. 5. Started one and it's languishing on the bench.
  3. I echo the sentiments of everyone else! It was a great GB. I thoroughly enjoyed everyone's builds, and I learned a few things from them. Plus, I evolved into a LSPer along the way! So Mr Moderator, what's the next GB you're going to host? Mike
  4. Happy New Year my fellow LSPers! I have a quick build here. I've lost steam on the Marines F-4J due to several factors, and I wanted to do a quick no brainer build to help get the mojo back. I picked this kit up over the holidays, and after looking it over last weekend, I figured this would do the job. I began it last weekend and finished it up today. Here are the pics for the build. It was refreshing to do this quick simple build, and it got me re-energized to work on the phantom. Hopefully, I'll be posting updates of it this weekend. Mike
  5. This arrive today In preparation of a possible new group build....... My first resin kit. Looking forward to the learnings, stumbles and challenges. Mike
  6. Looks like you were playing Scrabble! Nice save! Mike
  7. Don't have a Facebook account, so I'll have to pass on this GB. Mike
  8. "The Contest", that WAS a hilarious episode!!!!!
  9. Looking forward to the unmasking! Mike
  10. If it's 1/48, I'd be in. I just don't have the space for a 1/32 Intruder Mike
  11. Buy MORE plastic! Can't have enough in the stash! Mike
  12. No pics, but I got a WNW SE.5a, a Trumpeter F-105G with CE correction sets, and a Trumpeter SA-2. I've become a LSPer! Mike
  13. Great work Oleg! One suggestion if I may, would be to add the wash to the canopy frame as well so it'll match the rest of the plane. Mike
  14. Hey Paul, At the moment, I'm stalled on this build. I want to build it with the wing tips up, but I haven't figured out a way to mount them. I have a couple of ideas, but I haven't had time to try these ideas out yet. It's too bad Tamiya didn't provide a means to do this. And with the holidays upon us, I probably won't be able to focus on the build until after the New Year, so I'm really happy you extended the group build until the end of January! Mike
  15. I purchase Turpenoid from Michael's in the artist supply area.
  16. Suppose nothin', they look great! Mike
  17. Hey Ernie - from what I've read you're not too far off there. How frustrating that must have been to get behind a Mig, launch a missile or missiles and watch them not track! Switchin' to guns, oh s**t I don't have any guns! Mike
  18. Thank you everyone for the complimentary words! Mike
  19. Yes, very well done! Mike
  20. The Blue Tail Scooter turned out fabulous! Great job on it. Mike
  21. Welcome Ray! Your "target" is looking good. Anxious to see it out of the paint shop. This kit is on my stash list! Mike
  22. I've mixed Flory's dark and light dirt washes to get the shade I'm after. I've had no issues with this approach. Mike
  23. WOW, Thud looks great wearing those colors!!!! Excellent build! Mike
  24. Thanks Teresa Was able to get some time at the bench between cooking, feasting, and visiting; I was needing a break from the chaos!. The fit of this kit is 180 degrees different than the 4C. I've had issues with the exhaust section, wings and the belly section. I guess if we didn't get these challenges once in awhile a build would get boring...... Here's a couple of pics of the Sierra Hotel exhaust nozzles: I'm planning on the next couple of days being all mine to spend at the bench, and next up will be the office seats, canopies and then the paint shop. Thanks for stopping by, Mike
