  5. Ouch!!! feeling for yer mate Got try these things. Don't know if you can cut it out of Frisk as that is a very low tac - used to use it on my Illustrations for that reason so almost no chance of lifting the work I had already done. Or another thought. I take it these are hand painted on the 1:1 so how about cutting out of a thin paper and using spray mount - use Acrylic and you should be able to clean the glue off with a bit of lighter fuel ..... don't think it will effect the decal underneath? I'm sure you will work it out Brian. Another note I see I have been Photo-!uckit (Pay-up or your pictures get it!) thanks for nothing!!!! which Photo home are you now using Brian as it seems to be working for you? Cheers Brain - And good luck - hope the Maiden went well...... I was 13 when I sore them at Oxford Apollo as the support act to Saxon - loved then ever since .... god I had hair them days!!!!! Taff

  7. Hi - Yep the seats from Harold where separate items but I would think are very rare now. could always pm him as he is on here, I sat the twins in mine as its an in-flight - there is a link in my sig if you want to take a look at what I did, If I do another - which I would most probably but a RAF one as it is an airframe my dad used to work on - I would take the route that Eaglekeeper is taking and do a mod scratch build to get them. I am afraid that scratch and adapt seems to be the only route for anything for a Venom. Saying that if you can make the rails you now have some options with AM on the rockets! Cheers Taff
  8. Hi good luck there wasn't much around when I built mine - just ended up scratch the bits I could! Harold had some lovely bang seats for the Navy bird but OOP now me thinks. Good luck mate look forward to the build when you get to it. Taff

  13. Hi Gazzas - Interesting read and some good knowledge. I have been painting for - hmmmm to long 40 years plus with oils, so it's a medium I know well - lot of the quick dryers are fine and do what they say on the tin. I just use them sparingly when painting as I like to keep the working time for my paintings. As for modelling with them. the method I use is to stick blobs onto kitchen towel or a bit of cartridge paper - let as much of the linseed oils absorb out. I then mix the solids down in a pallet with Turpentine or Turpenoid, which ever I have at the time. I make this to whatever consistency I need - Goo to Thin Wash. This, as a carrying medium, evaporates out quicker so reduces the drying time. If you have used enamels make sure you give it a seal first. Also the less and thinner the paint used the quicker it will dry. If you click through some of my builds - eg Hurricane IID - you'll see how I'm using it. Also being a painter I am a bit addicted to the smell of the paint and Turps! So anything I said above could have been under the influence!!!!! So drying mediums - yep do the job….. But I find buying kitchen towel or cartridge paper a lot cheeper and even on thickish paint I find this method comparable. So might be worth a try see how you get on! Just to say I have never shot oil paints in my Airbrush - and not sure thats an experiment I'd want to do!!!! But hay let us know how it went? You never know we might all be missing a trick! Happy Days - Taff
  14. Nice should look good all shiny and sleek. I did a similar thing with the Sea Venom I built. I gave it a bit of twist to try and make it a bit more dynamic. I used sone aluminium pipe I got from a DIY store it was the perfect diameter to fit the pipe and once it was polished up looked quite nice Also a plus is you cans see top and bottom without cranking your neck around. Look forward to seeing the finish article - Taff

  18. Hi great kit and a great looking subject - I built one a couple of years ago …. the kit can chuck you some fast balls in some of the areas but in general goes together really well. Funny my Model masters pitot was bent as well you'd think they would give it a bit more protection in the packaging! Really looking forward to the finish should look funky in those colours! Taff
  19. Hi Nico - Looks stunning in blue and very nicely weathered. Does the camera bits come with the kit or did you make your own? Cheers Taff
