Kev (LSP_Kevin) has just completed his 21st Century Macchi complete with smoke rings and it looks awesome! He knocked it out with almost Russ-like speed as well.

Although he swears it's not the case, I'm beginning to wonder if Russ (ruzlkampf) has a bunch of elves helping him. He sure does crank out completed builds, and all of 'em look fabo!

Truly first-rate painting! I can actually discern the waterline quite clearly, yet it is very subtly done. Wish I had half your skill!

That is looking fantastic! Were the exhaust stains done with pastels as well? They are very realistic and subtle looking.

The only warning with PE is to make sure you're doing things in the right order. I've often gotten to a point when I realized I was two steps too late to use that bit of PE I wanted. Other than that, it's a bit addictive! Once you see how nice the details can be enhanced you want it for all your kits...

Just found a site called UMM-USA.com that has what you're looking for. HTH.

You can get single guitar strings down to .008 but they're rather stiff so I'm not sure if that would work for you.
