  1. A larger or more heavy duty tow Vehicle such as a coleman with universal tow bar. Perhaps provide different lengths. Could be displayed with modern jets from an F-4 to F-16. For support, an Electrical and Hydraulic unit.
  2. Could the customer fill the rivet work easily if they don't add it to the kit?
  3. Uh, Er, when-where did I miss on info. for a parts set? I would like to get on that list if still copying parts for sale. I had corrected many issues with the 1/48 kit. It is still not finished but plan to get it on the shelf soon. Bigger is better and do have some Dragon kits to incorporate here. Super work, agree with your approach to realistic surfaces and getting up close to the real deal is one cool motivator! Glad for you Ken!
  4. certainly sweet! Also agree on the masking advice, especially since it is now dull coated. Could you reply on issues you found along the way? Have the kit myself and a rare build so any advice helps- Looks Super, would be pleased with her! Thanks for posting.
  5. And it would be nice if whoever remakes a B or narrow wheel conversion addresses the different internal structure of the main gear door and speed brake, Unlike Cutting Edge' over $$ set.
  6. Completely agree, especially now-Strike while the Iron is Hot. Go mighty 8th! Would be a nice shelf companion to other Korea subjects. Would have to compare what the kit sheet gives to what the Sharkmouth's had, might get you most of the way there.
  7. Thank you both, I couldn't find it in my unfriendly books and got tired of looking. I will forward it to my inquiring friend.
  8. Asked this the other day under General discussion with no answer yet. Figured this was the place (LSP) to ask this basic P-51 question. First I asked if the wheel/tire size was different for P-51B and D. As I figured, replies said it wasn't. Asked that because not sure of any other reason they changed (enlarged) the Leading edge wing root with the D? If not a bigger wheel, was it due to airflow difference of Bubble canopy? Ease of manufacture? Kind of LSP related since I had to reduce it down when I grafted the Revell spine to my Hasegawa kit (don't laugh, this was before stuff was available). Thanks!
  9. The kit boxing I listed isn't the shark mouth (I agree it should be available!), but has yellow tipped Vertical from Korean war period. I don't know the unit.If I ever build one, i'll just paint the mouth like I did with my Grey Nurse.
  10. Thanks for the information. So leads me to ask why was the D model inboard LE changed to larger forward sweep?
  11. Barry, you could always go with a "Survivor" kit sheet from Monogram-the 1966 blue box edition, depicting a Korean War era F-51D. It is kit # PA77.200. Good Luck!
  12. Is the main wheel/tire the same size for the P-51B and P-51D? I think so, but want confirmation...Thanks!
  13. Bummer on the camera deal, especially to show your detail work! Still going to follow the build. Definitely good to use those colors as guide coats. I definitely have to time my bigger paint projects up here in Washington, but I do have a large dehydrator that 1/32 kits fit into which helps. I used to have it your way when I lived in Victorville! Yes, faded top-including insignia, and seemed to have more of a light brown exhaust staining-the fuel type maybe?
  14. Also marked as "Make Offer" so anyone make an Offer on it?
  15. If you have it can you look at the fuselage/canopy etc. compare it to the G-4 for any changes? Thinking Trumpeter just doesn't care. Thanks.
  16. Thanks on the link, but did you want me to comb through the G-4 build for info? I am asking about the G-2. Are you saying it is the exact same kit? Thanks!
  17. I did a quick search here first, any review yet? Saw it as new arrival at Sprue Bros. Another problem kit, or they fix issues on it? Thanks. http://store.spruebrothers.com/132-trumpeter-messerschmitt-bf109g-2-2294-p29871.aspx
  18. Super work Shawn, I do like piloted A/C and had a go at one waaay back before the Hasegawa kit. Figured it the best way to finish up the old Revell instead of tossing it. http://www.largescaleplanes.com/articles/WW2/ErikMark/FW_190D-9/FW_190D-9.php Is that the spin action motor? I will be following this one so keep posting! Looking great.
  19. Looking Super to me and a Good kit to build too-how's it feel to be part of the 90%?! I will be checking this build as I want to start mine soon so keep it posted!
  20. Robert, Thanks for the tips with these HC kits-I have interest and will watch the build. With fitting the odd plastic, sometimes it helps to "Back up" the seam (especially longer areas) with white plastic strip along the inside, and use superglue. And with your camera, I have a tip for you. Been using an older Kodak and found that I have better success with focus and detail with it by standing back and zooming in to the model. Seems the auto function has it easier that way. Give it a try if yours has any zoom function.
  21. Ahh, Thanks for clarifying-now that you bought it, Hase will release one...
  22. A reply on another Hobby site concerning the selling of a Trumpeter P-47 Razorback said he would be interested in buying if he hadn't just placed order on a Hasegawa one. Am I reading too far into it with that glimmer of hope? I did look a few pages back here and found no mention of such a New release. Anyone know?
  23. Booyah! Super Duper News and Great Choice Revell! Wonder if I can use some of my Rutman resin on it? Prefer they do this or that, but I am all for the Uhu in 1/32! Can you say "Airbrushing is Fun"?
  24. Heya Brian, I have been gathering some cases locally (Everett, WA) from Craigslist by going into the "Furniture" listing and using "Display" or "Curio" as search words. The one I just got two days ago is 6'5" tall, 19" wide and although only 10" deep, has beveled glass door, light that works, no dents in wood and was only $50.00. Have been some old Drug store "film counter" types in there for under $200.00. Check your area. Helps to have a pickup and buddy with a good back too...
  25. Might be of some help as I have multiple shots-just have to find cd...message me.
