On the last working day of the year, the two-wheeled postman brought a small package. This was the AIMS spare parts I had been waiting for weeks.
So, I took the Bf 110 G2, which had been resting for a while, to the workbench to finish it.
Two separate rocket launchers were glued together, painted and installed.
Now very close to the finish line.

Here my last built : a mosquito PRXVI from the HK BIX/XVI. The kit is not really an easy one. Lack of détail in the cockpit, fit is not always good and landing gear are not really strong.
This plane was in th BG in England from june to april 1945 when it was destroyed on landing

So been busy getting all of the smaller bits and pieces painted as getting close to the finish line on this one now
 

 
And then on to getting over the final hurdle of this build which is the very unique installation of the U/C legs which involves fitting and then turning 90 degrees to lock in place. Very clever engineering to get the correct angle but it all doesn't really fit like much of this build but mire important is that the wing joints could be split right open. I ended up trimming a huge amount away from the fixing points so the leg would lock in to place properly 
 

 

 

 

 
 
Phew, all in place and ready for some weathering! A very quirky way 1o intall the undercarriage andnprobably very easy to break something or split open a wing joint if not very careful!

Here is my latest built (completed some times ago actually...)
 
It is the HKM 1/48 B-17G. A pleasant built.
Addons :
Eduard PE for the inside + space for the cockpit
Eduard Brassin exhaust pipes, turbochargers and wheels
Eduard bronze landing gears
Master gun barrels
Superscale Decals
 
It is my first kit painted with an airbrush... I used Tamyia paints.

WIth the dawn of next year i decided to crack on the another assembly ship.
And i decided to go with the Lemon drop.
Again we have our usual suspect in this scale. B-24D from hobby boss with all its flaws I will mend some of them with aftermarket solution.
For this build i will use HAD models decal set. Quickboos resin propellers, Eduard resin wheels, Interior and seat belt PE set. And Montex mask set.

Wheels on ... finally. A few more parts to add, then some de-uniformity surface effects.

Recommend plastic rod to start.  Metal rods are OK for smaller 1/48-72 builds as well.

Hi guys!
Italeri newest release, overall fine fit with raw surface and good interior details. I changed look of elevators and rudder, corrected fuselage wide lines and erased few on wings, added some cables and missing things in engine compartment. Corrected by a bit spinner too. I've made some rivets by painting from handmade masks and using watercolor crayons.

I’m really resisting the urge to buy this kit. You make it seem like it falls together.
