Hi, everyone!
I bought a Revell Beaufighter and I want to do it up Old School. No PE, no aftermarket resin, just styrene, brass and wire a'la Paine, Ashey and Verlinden.
I've ordered the SAM Publication for the BF and now I'm reviewing techniques and methods.
In the past I've delved into this and gotten deeper than my skill level and flamed out.
Don't want that to happen again.
Here's my plan so far:
Determine what version the kit is or is closest to and go from there.
Correct any major dimensional flaws( I stress Major Flaws).
Re-scribe lines.
Super Detail cockpit, Radio Operators station.
Wheel wells, struts. Caster rear wheel.
Open up access hatch in belly.
Detail four belly gun ports
Drop flaps.
Display on a mirror tile in a picture frame and plaque.
Anyone here done this bird up?
Please advise...
thanks!
