    Trumpeter 262

John, The only slight fit problems I had were around the cannon bay and engine panels, but they weren't much and quite possibly my own doing. One way to avoid them is to leave the panels open and show off all that trumpeter detail. I might do this on the forthcoming nightfighter. Neil

This is the Trumpeter kit with a few added details in and around the cockpit. I replaced the pitot and antennae. I decided to close up all the optional panel to preserve the sleekness of the 262. Painted with Xtracolour. The dex are a combination of kit and spares.

    Please ignore, just another 109...

Chris, Looks like a good start, particularly like the beat up tank. Looking forward to seeing more of it. Neil

    Painting canopies.

I find Tamiya masking tape cut into thin strips to do the edgdes(thinner strips for curves)then fill in with little squares. The Eduard masks are a similar material and very good if you dont mind paying a little extra

This is the revell kit with the addition of the Airwaves seat and wheel set. I also opened out the small intake on the engine cowling and replaced the pitot, cannon barrels and antenae. I used the kit decals but sprayed the top a single colour 81 as per pics in the Kookaburra books
