  1. Chris, I think it might be a good idea to compliment it with the british one aswell. Is that an A4? Looks awesome. Thanks Ian
  2. Hey all. Does anyone know know of a manufacturer that makes the above (either) in 1/32 or 1/35??? Cheers Ian
  3. Hmm, When you CA glue, are you talking about cyanoacrylate??? I haven't got any, will try and track some down if this is what you mean. Thanks Ian

  5. Hi all, I have recently received a few PE sets from Eduard for F15E cockpit AH64 Longbow Cockpit F16 seat and cockpit SU27B cockpit A10 cockpit Anyways, those of you that have used and do use this gear to enhance your models, How do you: 1, Bend them correctly, 2, What tools do you use 3, What adhesives do you use, plastic to metal etc. 4, Achieve those great paint jobs Answers to any of the above would be great for all of us guys that are getting into this super detailing stuff, and an interesting discussion thread. Thanks all Ian
  6. I just got the Paragon pair of Mk.10's for my Tornado, 1:32nd. I am severely tempted, but...........its 1/32nd and I am not sure if I can do it justice yet, so rather than ruin a great model, I might do another 1/48, maybe the F15E? Not sure. Having said that, i have the PE sets for my Falcon, so I am pretty tempted by that aswell. Hmm. Where can I get Future from??? I have heard lots of people say they use it. Also, how do I apply it? With an air brush, do i dilute it etc??? Thanks guys Ian
  7. What can we say, except all hail the tiger!!! Nice one Ian

  9. Oh come on, is it that bad? Way to make a guys work feel worth it. A 185 of you looked and no ones said a word. Ian Should I hang up my air brush now?

  11. Hi all, Finally got to take some shots of my A10 this weekend. As you can see it is coming on rather nicely. I did the camo free hand and it is my first attempt at such a thing so I am well happy. I would appreciate some feed back on this guys so I can continue to improve. I also need to do some weathering, though god knows how. Those watery looking run offs and oily stains etc, any suggestions? I have used Humbrol enamels to get this far. I shall be hanging the stores and finishing with a matt cate over the next day or so, so please comeback and have another look. Thanks all Ian
  12. Well she's no longer grey, I have just about completed the three colour euro camo and then I shall post somemore images of my A10. I have been doing it free hand for the first time and am so far very happy with the results. Practice makes perfect! Thanks Ian
  13. Hi all This is the pit to my A10. I have dry brushed it over an airgun black base. This is the first time I have tried anything like this so I am pretty happy with the results. I am now filling and sanding the fuselage, as there are a lot of bad fit items. I will continue to post as things progress. Is it me or is there always alot of filling to be done??? Thanks all! Ian
  14. Thanks Dave, it is very reasuring when a seasoned modeller passes on this kind of info. CHEERS!!! Ian
  15. WOW. Free hand. This is truely amazing work. Free hand. Really great work, lets see the pit shots soon please!! Thanks Ian
  16. Dave, This is great info............. I was wondering where to get this sort of stuff from. My local model store doesn't carry it and the next nearest one is about 35 miles away! So, how do I use them to re create hoses etc. I mean , do you need any special tools to cut and bend them, and what sort of glues should be used??? Thanks Ian
  17. Hi all, I am making the stores for my A10. Having glued togther the 2 halves, there is a noticable seam down the middle. Please tell me what is the best method for removing this seam so that the 2 parts appear to be ' as just one' solid fuel tank for example? Many Thanks Ian
  18. A tiger, indeed what else? Is there no end to this mans talent??? You are just being big headed now mate , nice, very very nice. Ian
  19. Hi Paul, It is a bout the size of a shoe box, and I use it without ear defenders. Thanks Ian Where are the Colonies???
  20. Hi Paul, I got a Revell standard class compressor for christmas. Its small, max pressure to 5.5bar, can handle 23 litres a minute, and runs at about 55 decibels. It too stays stuck to the desk thanks to suction feet. It has a manometer and water separator too. If you leave the pressure valve open and run it between 2.5 and 3.5 bar it works great. I don't know if it works with all air guns though and it cost about £100.00p new. Hope this helps. Cheers Ian
  21. Theres only one thing to say so far really..............JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZUZ WEPT!!! That is just absolutely amazing, cannot wait to see the pit. Out of interest, if I have missed this already I apologise, what camo/ paint job are you going to be doing??? beautiful. Cheers Ian
  22. Hi all. First off, thanks for the info, I am a newbie, and it does all seem to be a bit over whelming especially when I come here and see the stuff produced. Murph, thats just the kind of information/ guidance I need and so thankyou very much indeed! When I said I had used an airbrush before, I meant I had done an all grey colour scheme on a hornet..........not exactly rocket science. Anyways, I shall now be Mr. practice, practice and more practice, and leaving the model aside for a while so I can see what my new gear does. Thanks all, very much appreciated. Ian
  23. Alll of my gear is brand new. Standard revell gear which seems incredibly posh to me as I was using a £12 badger job before and going no where. I can vary the paint out of the gun on this gear, and the compressor gives a constant steady flow of air. So I am hoping this gear is enough to produce camo jobs, for instance like the Phantom above. Hope so because I have the same model in my stash!!! IAN
  24. KOTR, Fair enough, I wasn't sure if there was a hard and fast rule or not. Pays to ask sometimes and see what comes up. Thanks. I have a 1/72 B52 I am not so bothered about so I will use that to practice on. I am totally awe inspired by the AC that appear on here and was thinking that there must be a 'common way' of doing that. Jocks away and here goes. Thanks all Ian
