  1. Three new canopy sets for the following screen as requested for the Mirage 2000 C https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/dassault-mirage-2000-c-replacement-wind-screen-for-132-kitty-hawk-208-p.asp canopy set for the Revell F-15 kit https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/mcdonnell-f-15-replacement-canopy-set-for-132-revell-kit-209-p.asp canopy set for the Trumpeter A-10A kit https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/fairchild-a-10-a-thunderbolt-replacement-canopy-set-for-132-trumpeter-kit-210-p.asp
  2. Well that part that you are showing Chuck is not my brass part, that is the kit parts, as I changed the axle design, and I lengthened the upper section so that can be secured into the wheel bay. Mine does not have the bracing parts included but I am sure my design will work and prove to be stronger. My feeling on the alternative, and I need to be careful as I do not like comparing to opposition products, but my points for you to decide and look at are, what is the material used, I am not sure, secondly the front ‘U’ shape of the nose gear is split, the smaller part is not even shown on the photograph, so you need to join metal parts, and what will that join look like, mmm not easy at a crucial point. My design is a solid brass piece with new 3D printed bushes for the wheel and a brass axle. link to my product to see design. https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/douglas-a-20-havoc-nose-strut-for-132-hkm-kit-196-p.asp
  3. Thanks to those that have purchased the new nose strut from me, as for the MAIN GEAR, I did not and could not do hat at the same time as I was loaned only the nose parts from Nigel of Nigel’s modelling bench. I now have a kit of my own and I am trying to figure out a way that I can improve on the main gear, I have done it before with other models, so I think I may very well be able to do so. So it is interesting to have your input ChuckD, as you have made my thoughts clearer on how I need to approach the mains set, not sure how fast it will happen but I shall look.
  4. Excellent news Eli, Erwin is a great guy and has supported me through all my ups and downs
  5. Eli, make contact with Erwin Stam, you may know him, he is a great guy, I am sure he will help you.
  6. I would go cautiously, it is ONE PRICE for anything that makes alarms ring in my head….but maybe that is just me
  7. Hope to move these along soon, the table space is clearing a little.
  8. Great news glad you like the brass struts, the HELLCAT is on the burner, not sure which one and the cooking time? Hopefully on the boil soon, I know I have said that more times than I care to remember.
  9. Thank you Mark, I saw that you had.
  10. Kagemusha, you are correct, last I knew he was on holiday in South Africa over December / January period but I think was back in Georgia around February, but could be wrong.
  11. Hi Mark yes it is on order, it is a very popular set, the best way on my new site there is an option to request an email as soon as new stock is loaded, this is on the actual product that you wish to order. The alternative is to send me an email, as I cannot file and control posts on these boards. I am waiting on quite a lot of product, I will hopefully have these before the end of the month.
  12. I am with Thierry, as soon as I saw these sprue shots I was not really impressed, while the Fw190 looks quite nice and a little tempted, but probably will not buy, as I have more pressing purchases, the Spitfire just is not doing it for me. I hope that a Mk.Vc follows along with Kotare. Not sure why the ‘b’ always makes it but the ‘c’ is the last thought, although each time it is a new wing.
  13. Interesting as there is a fine line cross over between Mk.4 and Mk.6 and then there is quite a few versions of the Mk.6, perhaps I shall step back and just let home get on with it.
  14. I must say I am having a laugh at this. There was no new kit announced at the Nationals, so you guys have now decided to make an announcement as to what SHOULD have been announced and or confirmed….mostly a P-51B, that has been on many wish lists before. it makes no real difference to me and it is a chat forum, but surely the original title should be changed OR the thread allowed to die or stopped, there was no big announcement made Guys have fun, I am not stopping you at all but surely at least consider my words
  15. Saw this thread earlier in the week, knew a friend had drawn a Mk.6 seat, which I have now established is more Buccaneer style. So now what I need is some more input and or comments, as to what would suite firstly the Mirage as originally requested, and other possible requirements. Quite happy to possibly do another variant or two possibly to meet requirements, however we do require good pictures or drawings to back up the requests. Having looked at some picture I have for the Mirage IIIS, I think the changes that are needed are as in the marked up graphic view in red marker. The head box flattened off, ‘parapack’ in the head box, and the large bulges removed from the sides of the seat, also the head grabs look to be flatter. Some graphics and some real printed seats TRIALS, we have now decided to print the pull handles separately as this will aid in printing, preparation and painting.
  16. Hi Guys The parts are at the casters to be cast in the next few weeks, however you can pre-order as of today the 27th July. Note there is still a 10% discount available on all orders over £20.00 till 31st July 12pm GMT. Brass undercarriage for Kotare Spitfire Mk.I
  17. Hi Guys I have the nose strut re-designed and it is currently at the casters. Due to a huge work load at the casters it will be towards the end of August before I will be able to mail these out. Rather than show and write everything out best follow this direct link then you can see the details, also remember there is a 10% discount available till 31st July 12pm GMT https://www.aerocraftmodels.com/douglas-a-20-havoc-nose-strut-for-132-hkm-kit-196-p.asp
  18. Thank you guys that are offering feedback and voting, more votes are always welcome
  19. Thank you Paul, for clearing up some of what we have discussed in the past. I still have plans but you will be the first to know, as I have always said and made the commitment to you to do so.
  20. Hi guys There is a lot of interest and discussion on this model, and one item I have been asked a lot about is whether I will be doing a brass undercarriage for it. As I still do not have kit myself it is or has been very difficult for me to evaluate the kit parts. Nigel at Nigel’s modelling bench did a small video on his channel yesterday see below. The big question is what would you guys prefer to see just the nose wheel strut produced in brass or a full undercarriage set. As a guide on price and NOT COMMITTING TO. Nose strut approx £10.00 Full u/c set approx £25- £30.00 If the nose struts goes ahead it could be about 4 weeks away from today so mid to late August. https://youtu.be/onAHJqFjMxw
  21. I have spoken to Paul on some subjects numerous times and I have an understanding with him that as and when I get the opportunity I will produce these. I really do not think Paul is wanting to get back into the business, there is so much that need to acquired as far as machines tools etc. I also think he is at the stage he would prefer not to have to bash out resin sets. However I cannot speak fully on his behalf and I I will always keep him informed first on any moves I make.
  22. I agree with this one Andy, these markings could certainly tempt me.
  23. Hi guys Well it seems as if the website is at least up and running and visible, but I have not got all the links working as I want as yet. So please type in www.aerocraftmodels.com to find it, you cannot miss it there is a great picture of a Chipmunk and as a little bit of encouragement there is a 10% discount until the 31st of July 2023 for all orders of £20.00 or more. Looking forward to visiting, your comments and orders, you can even see me and my little Jack Russell on the blog page. cheers Ali This is what you should see
  24. Thanks for that Andy, at least I know you can see it, it may just take time now to get all the searches sorted and it up and running fully. WOW this has been and is a lot harder than I ever thought it would be.
