Awesomeness! The "D" is my favorite B-24. I think on mine when I build it I will put a threaded rod in the nose tire and then a washer and nut under the base to hold it down. That's a great looking Liberator you have going there! Cheers...Ron

RF 4EJ Phantom 501st reconnaissance squadron
aircommando130 replied to alain11's topic in Ready for Inspection
Awesome Phantom! You gave the Tamiya kit a lot of love to get it to look that good. When I was stationed at Kadena I'd get lunch and go to Naha airport and watch the F-4EJ's taxi and go fly. Nothin like the sound of J-79's in burner going down the runway. Cheers...Ron -
F-4J (UK) is very cool. It looks the part of Phantoms off the runway still with the drag chute and canopies up. Was the drag chute hard to get the suspension lines from the canopy to the clevis on the main line from the fuselage? My ultimate F-4 diorama is 4 F-4E in the arm/de-arm area at Korat AB, Thailand getting the pins pulled and ready to head to the tanker before going "North". Great job...Anything Phantom is always cool! Cheers...Ron

Nice 88mm flak gun. It looks the part for extreme desert wear. I built the old Tamiya 88mm being towed behind the 8 ton tractor in gray oversprayed with Afrika Corps tan and roughed it up as well. Put it on a desert base with some figures too. Your groundwork looks the part of that "hard as concrete" desert ground. Great job! Cheers...Ron

I love the idea that flying boats might come back
aircommando130 replied to Alex's topic in Aviation Discussion & Research
AFSOC is leaning on Lockheed to build a amphibious MC-130J. The pictures I've seen of it with giant pontoons I'm sure the drag index is just as big. Cool idea but probably will never get across the finish line. Cheers...Ron -
Hobby Boss B-24L (26 Feb 2023: tail turret)

Add some 1/32 empty brass shell cases to the floor and it would really look real! Great job so far! I have the "D" model to build. Haven't figured the setting yet but it will be the "Lady Be Good" prior to the fateful mission. Cheers...Ron -

Bro that's awesome! The NM finish looks really good to me. The Ki-61 is probably my favorite Japanese fighter too! How did you do the base with the flag and the overlay of "The Empire of Japan" Cheers...Ron

1/72 Revell F-16A Michigan Air National Guard
aircommando130 replied to albymoore's topic in Non-LSP Works
I like the "A" model F-16...it kinda stayed with the light weigh fighter that it was built to be. The Guard always took old hand me down jets from active duty and made them into really nice jets and maintained with pride. Michigan will never top the paint they put on their F-4's but you did an awesome job on your Michigan Falcon. Cheers...Ron -

That is a very nice T-28. One of my favorite airplanes. I said if I ever won the lottery I was going to buy a real one and have one of the instructor pilots in the squadron teach me how to fly it. I have that kit in my build pile too. Great job! Happy New Year! Ron -
