  1. Dennis Gorman I believe... http://www.freewebs.com/aeroscale/seaballiol.htm Cheers Simon
  2. Hows about a canopy and rear fairing for the "S" ? Cheers Si Forgot to say, beautiful work on the legs Jerry, I'll be bagging myself a couple of these....
  3. Hi Jerry Try the last photo on this page (not totally clear pic): http://www.luftwaffe39-45.historia.nom.br/aero/fw190_jg54.htm Cheers Si
  4. Hi Derek Good to see you looking at some 1/24th conversions! Me personally, I'd go for (obviously!) a 190 S-8 conversion, maybe a 109 G-12 as well Cheers Si
  5. Hi Derek Go on, you know it makes sense I'll see if I can knock up a cd to help you on your way.... Looking forward to the next installment Kev! Cheers Si
  6. Hi Kev Brilliant work so far! Hopefully it won't be another 2 years before you finish this one! Seriously mate I'm loving watching this thread and seeing the way you get around the problems. Can't remember, but was there a PDF of Aero Detail No.6 Focke Wulf Fw190 A/F on the disk I sent? There are some good photos of the both cockpit areas in there. PM me with your email addy if you haven't got it. Derek Please do let us know if you get around to manufacturing one of these(too much to hope it will be in 1/24th I suppose :ninja: ) Cheers Si
  7. Woohoo, go Kev!!!! Thought you may have consigned this one to the skip after the fuselage went to jelly Hopefully things will go better this time around.... I thought there may have been a photo of the gun covers on the CD I sent with the kit, I can email you some if needs be(Haven't got a PB account yet). Looking forward to updates Cheers Si
  8. Hi Kev Yes I thought it felt a bit odd to, very soft. There again that could be to your advantage! Jeez, it does look bad doesn't it? Hopefully you'll be able to figure something out! Best of luck with it. Any idea on the markings yet Cheers Si
  9. Hi Kev No problems at all, hopefully will get it off soon. There is a kit review by Tom Cleaver on Modelling Madness: http://modelingmadness.com/reviews/axis/cleaver/tmc190s8.htm and a 1/48th Paragon conversion by James Davies on HS:http://www.hsgalleries.com/gallery04/fw190s8jd_1.htm. Most people regard this as a fugly bird, but I think it's one of the coolest! The rear pit is pretty basic, complete with wooden sticktop in place of the normal grip. Kais Good call there, the LEMB and TOCH forums are brilliant for this sort of stuff. I post as S-8 on there (wonder why? ) If anyone has photos of the interior or canopy in particular, I'm always after more! Cheers Si
  10. Hi Kev The instructions say this conversion is for the Has. kits ST21 08071 or ST23 08073. PM me your address and I'll see how to get it out to you! Don't want anything for it, but I'll let you know if there are any shipping charges involved. This it what it looks like...... It has two canopies, one for the flat sided rear canopy and one for the triangular bulged rear canopy. I think the bulged was the less used type from the pictures I have seen. I also have quite a few photos of these types, mostly of the Hendon example. I'll get these out as well. Should help you along a little bit. I had a few exchanges with the late Eric Larger, as he said he was researching for a book on all 58 purported examples. I don't know whether the JaPo boys would have received any of this work after his untimely death? Two good reference books I have are: Aircraft Monograph 4 : Fw190 A/F/G/S Part1 ISBN 83-86208-35-X HT Model Special Focke-Wulf FW190 A/F/G/S No913 ISSN 1335-3667 The previous photo was taken at RAF St Athan around 1990 when we used to run both this and the Me410(which I was standing on to get that photo). Wish I'd taken a lot more photos than I did at the time instead of working! Wonderful times, yet sad that both aircraft are indoors and silent forever I have a couple of 1/24th kits that I hope one day to convert to this type. It's been a long time since I've done any kits (20+ years!), but I would definately move if Radu does some photoetch canopies for it! Think he said he was scared of 1/24th though, or something like that...... Cheers for now Si
  11. Hi Kevin I have two of Dave's conversion, both a little bit warped unfortunately! Would like to see someone do justice to at least one of them! I'll try and get some pics tomorrow or the day after. Regarding the fillet down the side of the cockpit, I think this was common to all as far as I have seen. A taster for now....... 12. Hi Jerry Hope these on the 2 seat 190 help. Cheers Si
