...sorry guys, like i said before.......goofing up again on this pc, file must be too large...again..... bear with me.
  2. Well, it shows who's a master builder, can't wait to see the end result.... BTW, the Bronco is getting along well, had some figuring to do about the cockpit canopy, but it turned out quite well i think. But you didn't reveal your next project yet, is it or isn't it a Gnat, at least i thought it is.... happy modeling Saso, J.
  3. hello Saso, it's buzzing isn't it.....your GNAT.....!!! BTW, beoootifull Hunter, hope i can achieve the same results as you have, didn't start the Hunter yet though.... i must say it's must inspiring, all of it.... happy modeling jack.
  4. well...patience and putty worked out fine, didn't it, looks real good, .... btw Dan, when will you be starting the Pogo...???....;O) happy modeling, Jack.
  5. Chris, wirklich irre, toll......oh and btw...you are insane, spit-insane.....) Jack.
  6. Gene, nice, verrrrry nice looking aircraft, indeed a shame it didn't make it, but if memory serves it had (or at least it was anticipated) some disadvantages on the commercial side (might have to look that up)..... How are the dimensions in 1/32 scale?, and did you put it some internal detailing? rgds, Jack.

Hi Chris, doing things slowly lately isn't actually my usual habit, but on the modeling front it is since lots of attention is going into job/home and family business.... Each time i see some spare time which could be done modeling, it's wiped away to "different shores" and in the end i'm p....sed of i didn't do some relaxing modeling, cause that's what it is: a way to relax from daily chores. So eventually i will finish that Bronco anyhow, and in the meantime i always tend to discover that i should have done this and that differently in order to improve on building it......oh well, what else is new.... I am in aviation and if there's one subject in great @#@$%, then it's this item in society (though slightly in the uplift i must say...) so it's taking a lot of my attention, but i'll manage.. Thanks for the comments, it's appreciated. Untill next update.....!! Jack.

follow up.....still trying to figure out how to get a larger picture within the set limits.....;O(
  10. G'day Pete, Thanks for the tip, sent them a message right after i read your announcement. I think it could be a welcome addition to the detailing possibilities. cheers, Jack.
  11. no sweat Chris, i like your attitude, scratch 'em if it's not available, i do the same, but anyhow you're modeling great stuff. Gruss, Jack.
  12. ...Hi chris, i don't know were abouts you live in Germany, but did you ever try to order modeling stuff from the "Luchtvaart Hobbyshop" in the netherlands, to be specific from a supplier close to Amsterdam Schiphol airport? They have a mailorder system which works like a peach, large collection of models, supplies, addons, decals, conversionsets, and DETAILSETS. I live close to the german border in the south of the netherlands, so it'll take a 2 to 2,5 hour drive to Schiphol to pay them a visit, but it's often worth your while, but like i said their mailorder system is very good, also internationally. Try this out: www.lhshop.nl If you'd like to have specifics email me at my home addy: sjack@home.nl Gruss, Jack.
  13. ...Hi Lee, it's inspiring to know that you yourself might still be the one who's gonna finish the model first..... Looking good sofar, could you post some pics on the interior for us? Could be very helpfull, if ye know what i mean. Did you tackle the rotor head already? And ah...talking about the Canopy, remember..... mine was crushed somehow, would you/could you pop another one for me if possible?? Take care, jack.
  14. hi, Have some Combat kits, built one of them, but IMO compared to ID kits, i'd have to put combat second choice, and same goes for Robert's stuff, at first they were THE solution, but on second thought quality, accuracy and diversity is rather poor. On third thought i WILL use the sets i already bought as best as possible for the ID Tracer, Trojan, Invader and Hawkeye, but i will have to do some good scratchbuilding as well. In short, for some vacforms you might as well want to scratchbuild the detail parts yourself (if possible ofcource) and like i said, i like ID kits better if only for the thicker plastic used. Our vacform expert, Larry Hawkins might give a more in-sight comment on the subject. Jack.
  15. ....Well, there's another option, like what they did in reality, taking a P51B, lowering the upper aft fuselage, putting a bubble canopy on top of it, and retaining the original B-wing, just to test the eventual "D" version qualities...... In model terms, this would be about the same...... , plus ofcourse getting rid of all the riveting, scaling it down and adjusting here and there. Got this picture scanned (excuse the bad quality) from the WW2 Aircraft Fact Files series on US Army airforce fighters part2
  16. ..sehr schön Chris, i can hear the engine roar..... Sehr gute Arbeit, viel Spass. Jack.

Hi Lee, don't give me too much credit, actually you yourself made the start, and ofcourse like you said there are some quirks, but they are workable, i only hope i'll do your initial work credit afterwards, but hey...it's a lot of fun and i'm glad you decided to skip the pony version and go for the NOGS, but i'll turn it into the OV10D+, so i'll include the the weapon sponsons. I'll keep you posted. regards, Jack.

Hi guys, like i indicated before in the original thread (which i can't seem to retrace anymore.... , the molds were made by Lee White and he himself started this Bronco model, but quoting his own words..."he might try a new mold someday" , so who knows....!!! Problem with started models is ofcourse the fact that sometimes you'll have to do some surgery and by doing so more or less break up the model built by its original owner, so ....Lee, i had to adjust the nose shape, and cut out the slotted flaps, had some difficulties getting the cockpit interior the way i wanted it, made up the horizontal tailplane between the booms, the rudders, tial plane fillets, and dispenser boxes in the fuselage booms, exhaust stacks, and at this time i'm painting the cockpit interior, which is convenient because the fuselage pod is still detached from the wing assembly, so it's easy to "juggle" around. Afterwards, i'll HAVE to fix the pod to the wing assembly in order to create the right canopy construction, which should be blending in with the wing top area. After that i might be tempted to start the spraying activities.... , but the next major job is the making of the nose- and main gear assembly. I had to put some considerable wheight into the nose area, since this aircraft has a more or less nose downward "sit" and there is quite some "hardware" aft of the CG point...., so i might have to consider some reinforced main gear struts, maybe copper or white metal, we'll see... regards, jack.

Still a bunch of parts, but slowly.....
  21. , beoooooooooootiful Saso, touch of the master......very nice..!!
  22. ..looking good Mike, could you tell some more about the things you changed by scratchbuilding? Of special interest to myself would be the nose: Did you change it (as one builder did by cutting it off along the bottom window lines and simply attached it again upside down, because that way the upper curvatures would look more correct??) HTH Jack.
  23. ....everybody is entitled to his or her opinion......but didn't someone at LSP lately put it this way: Modeling should be building, adjusting, correcting, fitting, finishing and ....enjoying the effort, whether it being a hasepeter or a revellamiya.... Just smacking together a "bake-and-shake" kit wouldn't exactly be the "spirit" of the hobby, right??? It seems that sometimes the positive- as well as the negative criticism/feedback/review gets overkilled rightaway. To me it would almost kill the urge to start building or even think about modeling.......well almost..... just my two pieces of sprue.......
  24. Thanks for the info Chris, should be very interesting, gonna dust off my two unbuilt wooden wonders shortly.... regards, Jack
