I look forward to this new book, it might be a source of some good info to check out. The now 30-year old John Alcorn books are also worth checking out, FWIW. They were what got me started on my own scratchbuilding journey, I never would have even tried if not for those books.
Not wanting to hi-jack (no pun intended), but this is what Lee is talking about, it helped me a lot also:

Wishing all LSP members a very good, happy, lucky, healthy and peacefull 2024, it'll be THAT time in about five hours from now for all across the pond, but already in the past for our members in the eastern part of the globe, have a great time and great expectations for the new year!!

It's not easy to find or use. You'll 'have' to use the search box ...
Hey Mike, forgot about that specific feature, thanks for reminding me

Guys, i would appreciate the input of some LSP members to indicate their position/country/place in this global LSP community, just to be able to get an idea of where all of us are situated, especially when sending or intending to sent stuff to eachother, especially at this time when doing the Xmas raffle, but in general isn't there a common rule to have your "avatar" show some position indication , it doesn't have to be an exact position but country or global position would be appreciated........
Sorry if this item has been brought already to your attention in the past.

Got any Bare Metal foil kicking around? Have fun, be sure to post pictures, lol.
yeah, was thinking the same, but i don't think using foil will eventually be a realistic solution to have this special coating simulated, so looking for other options..........
-
.....And now the big question: how to reproduce such a coating onto a F35 1/32 scale model kit..........

Great work as always Lee, looking forward to seeing it completed, have fun

Hi everyone, this year i'll donate an oldy, box has a little bit moldy spots on the outside (been in the stash for quite some time now, guess some 32 years....), but the parts are all okay, some of them separated from the sprues, but complete, and decals have been kept separately . Was planning on building, but you know how things go........!!!
Oh, and i'll have to shorten the original box by about an inch in order to put it in a sturdier outer box for transportation.
And i don't have to be a recipient, have fun!!!

The Gina is by DayGlo Models. Not sure they are still in production, but you might check. Been out for several years now. Here is my review from 2018.
Thanks Ray, must have slipped my attention, thanks for the review

guys great great pictures, awesome kit results, thanks very much for posting, brings up some good inspiration (at least to this old modeller) and i've got one specific question:
IS THAT A 32ND SCALE GINA??????
If so, who's producing it, i must have missed something?
Cheers,
Jack
PS the G91 was in a earlier thread, sorry

Yes. I have one, as I had been hunting and hunting for the 1/32nd Scratchbuilders kit for literally years. I bought it prior to the start of building my HpH Walrus and Tigercat.
Lets just say my enthusiasm has waned a bit for the kit, but Ill likely still build it someday, as I really do have a thing for the airframe.
I think you made the only good choice by buying the HpH kit, i had the Scratchbuilders 410 in the stash a whole lot of years ago, but even then i found the so-called hollow resin fuselage parts at that time a bit, let's say, too rough, so i sold it to a guy in my neighbourhood.

ooooooh, that's the way such a huge beast should be looking like, just imagine one or several of these ships leading formations at that time.
You've indeed done a great job, looking amazing, congrats.

i've gone over this decission for quite some time now, surely being influenced with feelings that go back to my own "roots" during the time of events, but i've decided to cancel my LSP membership for the time being, feeling that reality isn't going the way i could accept some issues, and more over, in real life i've encountered some real discreprancies i can no longer accept in accordance with modelling..............you might all be aware of my contempt to the russian system, and that won't change, so i think in accordance to this fact i have real issues to promote russian type of aircraft, ipso facto ....................well you do the math
