About Me
Graduated Arts College 1985 Majoring in Film-making ( Film and Video) In Brisbane. I learned about painting, mould-making, design, sculpture - even animation ( my calling I still believe) there but Brisbane is or should i say 'was' a back-water for the entertainment Industry then. I was a joint owner of a Film and video business after College with a College drop-out mate as partner. I guess the term drop-out also applied to his commitment and work involvement. That died a natural death. Then we formed a partnership in model kit making/production called FM Models Australia. I used my artistic flare at that time to design and make the 1/32 Ca-12 Boomerang model from nothing. That aircraft is probably the hardest to sculpt, as every inch/center-meter of that fuselage is concave/convex shapes ( like a voluptuous woman's body Ha ha) and was my first attempt. I am quite proud of the result. In any case, my business partner made enemies in the modelling world and of course... in time, that died again - of a natural death. I decided not to go around the Merry - Go- round a third time with him in future. I then worked for Qantas for a number of years, which helped me get back on my feet again but the shift-work was unbearable.
I have worked mainly in the hospitality industry since till recently, now that I am in the Healthcare Industry. This has carried me through the Covid-19 world upset and kept me employed.
My modelling Hobby is an enjoyable pass-time and I also enjoy the research and interactions with the insanely talented modellers here.
