Function before form and so ugly it's brilliant.
Used to see these over my house when I was a kid.
Nothing else sounds quite like it.
    Plenty of foreign schemes too.

The Alleycat conversion may be of help.
Whilst I understand you have looked at am, there's a lot of parts in the conversion and whilst you will have to scratch the actual gun, the conversion may well give you an additional "leg up".
I used their TR33 conversion on mine and it certainly helped.

The Tse Tse was a pretty awesome beast and I recall a story in one of my references when they were U-Boat hunting in the Bay of Biscay.
They used a flight of 4 FBVI's to take on the protecting JU88's whilst the Tse Tse went for the submarines.
Apparently on one occasion the Tse Tse actually used the gun on an '88 "to great effect".
    I can imagine !

If I might be a little constructive here.
If the mods had said that posts had been removed in addition to the warning about future posts then it would have made sense.
As it was it looked like people were being warned for no visible reason and couldn't understand why.
    Just sayin'

I agree, Phil, at least in principal, though it should be assumed that the cautions were in reference to something that's since been hidden or deleted, though it's probably also a good idea for us to mention that some possibly contentions posts (no longer visible) preceded the caution. I'll certainly keep it in mind in the future.

Good point Phil, most times you just want to make a post to calm things down, which is inevitably done quickly.

Sorry, I’m a little confused here.  “Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving folks, “Safe travels....”, “raise a glass....,” “Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday” are offensive??  How??  Nobody said a word about that which apparently cannot be named. John 1 was just telling us what he saw and some of us commiserated because we too remember how busy IAD used to be and wished him a safe and speedy trip home.  Has the grinch stolen Thanksgiving as well?

So here I am sitting in my model room with my Fisher Hunter T7 on the bench in front of me:

and I hear a jet fly over......this is quite an unusual occurrence because our skies are normally quiet except for helicopters from RNAS Yeovilton.  So I check my PlaneFinder app (yes, I'm a nerd ) to see this:

the blue dot being where I live.  A Hunter T7.....really!!!  But IF ONLY the cloud base hadn't been at about 1000'......I heard it doing circuits for half an hour, so tantalisingly close and yet, so far.  Did a bit of googling:

Maybe tomorrow, when the sun is out.....

I built the SHAR a long time back.
It will build up out of the box ok but you can get carried away with detailing and sanding back of a lot of over-raised rivets !
Didn't have a build thread but RFI thread here:

Well my Ki-45 is finally finished. It was a really nice build, with the only real trouble caused by my own hand, by not masking the rear section between the rear gunners hatch and far rear glass. Other than that, the kit has a LOT of parts in it, near enough to make a whole other model if certain other parts were acquired.
The most amazing thing about the kit was the fit. Overall, it was really excellent, but especially so for such a complex large model. The results really came together at the end, despite my best efforts to the contrary.

Thanks to all those who followed along though all the trials and tribulations.
Cheers and I hope you enjoy!

It's no easy kit, it really depends on deep you wanna go

rivets are awful and need to be completely filled
intake doors are a pain to cut for gravity
    cockpit is sparse

I did one a long while ago with Heritage and FP bits, took me a year:
