  4. Hi, Comments noted will check the working drawings we used, but I think to original comment on the height was against the preserved one at Hendon which has no fuel, full engine lubricants and hydraulic fluids, probably guns, definitely no ammunition or nearly 500lbs of rockets or 2000lbs of bombs. Also looking at some pics it's not too far out. ATB Bob

  10. Hi Guys, I have been watching this with interest as the Swordfish is an aircraft MDC is quite familiar with we did the 1st 1/48 scale model about 15 years ago. We used some unpublished information from the late Ian Huntley so we hope the kit and parts we made were accurate. We have made the floatplane in 1/48 and are happy with the results. On the 1/32 scale front we have the Universal Carrier available and shortly the rockets the Trumpeter one don't look right, so a couple of conversions could work. On the negative side the Trumpeter Mk1 has the fitting for the floatplane and some 3D prints have been noted on the interweb. On the positive side we will look at this (No promises) so if you have any questions or input please PM me via LSP or drop me a line on bob.mdc@btinternet.com All the best Bob
  11. Hi, MDC will be there, hopefully with some new parts and some new Wings figures. Also we hope to be demonstrating our new casting system which we can turn parts round in less than an hour !! and remember all pre-orders get 10% discount. All the best Bob
  12. Hi, Have been using and selling Mr Surfacer for a few years now and showing how to remove the hardened excess without sanding with a bit of IPA or thinners in demos still get the comment "that's why they use it in reviews" I always use a rattle can for primers as the pigment is a bit courser than paint and is not to healthy for a fine airbrush. A new Mr Surface/Primer 1000 is available for multi material jobs and we have no have Mr Surfacer 1500 in grey or black. If anybody want's a bit more info on Mr S just drop me a line. Bob
  13. Hi, As always we are offering our usual 10% discount on all our products including Mr Hobby and also this year the Wings Cockpit Figures. We have some new releases WW1 ground crew, RAF Pilots and a Mike Good seated Luftwaffe pilot. From MDC more ammo belts and feeds and the new Mr Surfacer 1500 in grey and black, It's really quick drying. Also if postal services work ok a preview of an item that could work well with a forthcoming release (RAF) We will also have details of our new 3D printing a manufacturing service. Look forward to seeing you at SMW2013 Bob
  14. Hi Guys, Bit of news I picked today, one of the other traders at SMW is bringing in the FULL range of Williams Bros. kits including all the 1/32 stuff. The only fly in the ointment could be customs but fingers crossed. Will try and more info. Bob MDC
  15. Hi, I know the problems with manufacturing in small quantities for specialised orders then the rules change !!!!Just a couple of ideas Mr Hobby do buffable metallic in the metal color range and a silver plate in the super metallic range.these might be difficult to obtain in the US but the silver plate is really good but expensive. Another possible idea would be white metal casting the metal is soft but can buff up well but it needs to be sealed when the finish is obtained. Might have another couple of ideas but will check a couple references first. Bob

  21. Hi, I had to ask myself when they first arrived, Luftstreitkräfte or with a bit more explanation The Deutsche Luftstreitkräfte ("German Air Force"), known before October 1916 as Die Fliegertruppen des deutschen Kaiserreiches ("Imperial German Flying Corps"),[1] or simply Die Fliegertruppen, was the air arm of the German Army (of which it remained an integral part) during World War I (1914–1918). In English language sources it is usually referred to as the "Imperial German Air Service", although that is not a literal translation of either name. German naval aviators remained an integral part of the Imperial German Navy. Both military branches, the army and navy, operated conventional aircraft, balloons and Zeppelins Many thanks to Wikipeadia. Bob
