MDC used to carry the Warbirds prop correction blades for the Trump., mastered by Vasko Barbic. You might want to give Vasko a shout on LSP discussion to see if they can still be had.

When you finish will Modeler Illustrated highlight your build "How to turn a pig's ear into a silk purse in ten easy steps"?

In a Hasegawa Zero vs Tamiya I think the Hasegawa wins if only because it has the heavier armament package.

Ken Lawrence (owner of Pacific Coast Models) even recommended that to me when I spoke to him about the kit. Wish I'd known it when I built mine. Love the resin 'pit.

I guess until Roll Models makes more Japanese instruments I have the last remaining extant set in the world.

Roll Models still sells the F-16 placard sets with film displays. They also still sell modern jet instruments and Japanese instrument dials in 1/32 scale. Be aware though that the instrument dials are true scale and most model interiors are slightly under scale, and you also need almost by default the Waldron punch and die set to remove the dials but these instrument faces have yet to be surpassed by silkscreen decals or offset printing technique.
German radio faces would be a welcome addition to the Airscale line as there are quite a few models which have visible radio boxes e.g. He-219, Ju-88, Ta-154 (new kit), Ar-234B2N, Me-110, etc.

By the way, it really isn't very hard to paint a display gloss back, orange, green, red etc. in the off position. I usually just use adhesive aluminum foil, trim to shape and color with clear red, green, orange etc. The screen glows. But, if you want to sell a product you have to offer something that is usually beyond what most modelers can accomplish. Color creates interest, and as I'd like to think, before you turn on the jet, you usually flip the on switch to the electrical systems to see what dials, knobs, lights displays come on that you need to give a love tap to to get them to cooperate before you start up the go juice and engines.
Before the went defunct, Cuttung Edge had a set of HUD decals in reverse print to show the image projection on the glass as seen by the pilot, in 32 & 48 scale. Down to a precious few.

The HD product is not quite up to the same standard as Archer dry transfers or the older version by Chartpak or Letraset. Glossy surface, flat surface, they refuse to transfer. They will however transfer quite nicely in most cases to clear decal film. Kind of defeats the purpose of dry transfers. I got a set for a P-38 project and learned this the hard way.

Well, since the B-25 had a chemical toilet, for the sake of modesty, I'd mask off that area to provide some semblance of privacy for the crew. I'm something of a prude in this regard. I usually provide a relief tube when I build a cockpit, but I tuck it under the seat. I know it's there, but it would not be seen.

Antenna direction is also fickle as to BuAer number. Slanted forward or straight, with or without whip aerial, check your references, and paint everything blue.

Rank has its privileges. There are some well known photos of Adolph Galland's special presentation 109 U's with a mix of armament, one of which shows the fat one H. Goering standing on a well polished wing inspecting the cockpit. It was also raining, but if you can have a cigar lighter and spotting scope installed as standard equipment then you can certainly have that Daimler-Benz shiny paint finish on your ride.
Also, the pre- war finish of yellow wing US aircraft was a nice gloss on and Japanese early aircraft had that nice finish on them like a brand new Rincon Continentar on the showroom floor, or so I'm told. Check your sources and trust your judgement. What I would not give for a few bottles of Pactra flat clear.

t.valdez got a reaction from Harold in Cutting Edge - what's the deal?
Oh, he wasn't all bad. He really had for the time, some good stuff from some good people. I met him and his lovely wife at the Chicago IPMS Nationals and he seemed at the time quite happy. I got a great MiG 21 resin set and some of his resin patterns for 32nd is still unsurpassed. The A-10, P-40 cockpits are the best replacements for the horrible Trumpeter injection stuff.
Then it would seem, he brought all his wife' relations from Vietnem as evinced by all the proudly packed Baggie inserts and it was downhill from there. Rumor was his wife was mail order and from her looks, he paid a steep price, personally and professionally. I think she got the gold mine and he got the decals.
I'll probably wind up back on the blacklist. As for lots of stuff on eBay, not so much anymore but I still look.

I'm all out of Cutting Edge pixie dust I received from Dave when he was running the show at Meteor productions. The pixie dust packet came with a great little set of HUD displays decal sheet that I hoard and use. I have about seven of those little gems left. As for the pixie dust, turns out it was hexagonally die punched with the little hexagons silver on one side and metallic colors on the opposite, each little piece of glitter about 0.5 to 1 mm wide. Great for instrument panel display lights and when the occasional hex head is needed for detailing.
The reason for my ramble, I'm nearly out of CE pixie dust to make wishes come true, and if I were to make one final wish with Dave's magic glitter it would be for the re-issue of his CEC 32160 set, the P-38 recon nose set in 32nd scale. I can dream.
