  1. Well, I have been studying the aftermarket stuff and my conclusion is that certain parts of the Avionix (rear bulkhead, front cover of instrument panel) and certain parts of the Aires pit (overall pit shape and instrument panel) are useable with Harold's seat! In other words: A Frankencockpit!
  2. go with the Fisher one. Still some filling work required but worth it. T
  3. Yes, exactly! I'm sure there are many here that would like to see those decals. I might try scaling up my 1/48 set. Tim
  4. The decals are limited for the earlier models. For the C, only the Zotz is on the market. It would be nice to see more C, D, H and K decals. The Marines VMFA-321 for example (F-8K Black Barons). Also, in the future Fisher might come with a conversion for the E itself. Tim
  5. Very nice work!!! Love the weathering. Best Tim
  6. looks great to me. Hats off for Paul Fisher!
  7. Nice work there Steve and a fast build! Tim
  8. I can not add too much at this point (as per request) except that they're working on it and see a big market for the subject. T
  9. I received word today that the Phantom will also be tackled in the future by Trumpeter. The person that works on the Jaguar emailed me back and appreciates any input/info/pics etc on that subject! I'll post more tomorrow on that. I asked specifically about the Brit Phantoms! Best Tim
  10. yes saw that too. I hope Trumpeter will jump on this one with Frank's instructions! Tim
  11. Ron, very nice work there. Like the tip on preventing silvering on the decs! Keep it up. Weathering looks promising as well. Your build motivates me to move on up with mine (two Sea furies). Best Tim
  12. Good work there. I got a set too so I'll be following this closely! T
  13. Very true: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=192703 and very cool!
  14. Colin, Very nice work. I've been at my furies for two years almost...;-). But almost ready for the paintshop as well. Keep it up! Tim
  15. I'd be interested in a few Barry. Thanks Harold! HTH,Tim
  16. very impressive build sofar. The kit definitely challenges the builder! Keep it up!
  17. he sits a little high indeed...Nice work so far! I ran into this for inspiration! http://www.master194.com/forum/viewtopic.p...51&start=50
  18. what's the size of this thing?! And compared to the Tamiya 1/48 kit?
  19. Hi all, Finally been able to take the project a bit forward. Wing/tail assembly and filling takes up my time now. The new camera helps to make progress visible. Just an overview. More in the upcoming months. HTH, Tim
  20. Two are on their way from Sprue Brothers!
  21. Sounds good to me. Worth the wait since announced last December! Finally a worthy tribute too the F-8!
  22. Rob is right. The Mig-killer of VF-111 was an F-8C and they did fly the E-model, but briefly. There's good references in the Ginter book. Also not only the nose cone needs to be changed, but the vents as well. But I'll build an E-model first.
  23. I'm still waiting patiently on mine...and I believe it's worth the wait!
  24. A small update http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....sult_type=posts
