Circumstances have conspired to give me the opportunity to build a 1:16 Tamiya Leopard (1)A4 as a static Leopard AS1 with Track Width Mine Plough, or TWMP. I wanted to build the 1A4 kit since I first saw it as a kid in a brochure back in the early 80’s. 
 
Fast forward to a find of a bargain new in box display kit, some upgrades from a vendor in Germany, & more recently developed skills in CAD, & I can finally build a 1st Armoured Regiment Leopard AS1. Time to recapture the “magic” of rolling across the plains of Epenarra Station, weeks without a shower, staying level with the second road wheel during mock assaults, & laughing at the n00b who conflates the tool box with the infantry/tank telephone box.

The CAD turret & hull are just for placement purposes. The styrene in the pics are parts collected over the years on the way towards gathering a full A4 kit.

What you are doing is very cool, and I'm surprised that no one else has chimed in on it.  I for one, will be enjoying your build.  I had always wanted a Leopard 1A5, but never could find/afford the Perfect Scale Modellbau resin kit.  A couple of months ago, I finally located and bought one at a reasonable price; and NOW see that somebody is making a 3d printed one that seems to be a lot better quality.  It's either bad timing or karma.  Whatever; press on!

Guys, when I'm looking at the photos I think new fuselage, horizontal and vertical stabs can be the solution. :-D

Hey guys/ gals just a heads up, I tested the Steel color and had close to zero pigment lifting under masking.
 
Give them a try.  My pic is crap, they are quite shiny.

For me this was the most disappointing thing about WNW's demise; the non-release of the HP O/400 and the O/100.  C'est la vie...

The Redstone and Atlas kits are very nice.  Good looking paint job.

This was my brother’s favorite rocket.  He built it when he was 10.  My father managed the rattle can white and black.  It was an impressive model.
