  1. Very nice ? Did you apply post shading on the panel lines? What paint/color did you use ? Grtzzz, Luc
  2. Thanks, nice !!!! Out of stock I just came across this site : 1/32 & 1/24 scale versions : http://www.scaleprecision.com/P-51D-Cripes-A-Mighty-3rd-A32031US.jpg
  3. Any chance of Maj Preddy' s mustang decals ?
  4. Fellow modellers, 1.Where can i buy decals for my 1/24 P51D ? 2.Do the Airfix 'Big beautifull doll', decals fit on my Trumpy kit? Especially the checkerd nose decals? Tnx guys for your replies...... Luc
  6. I've also one in my stash. The really big challenge will be the exterior painting job, to get it as realistic as possible You don't want just a big black 'blob' Luc
  7. "Remove before flight" : Supplied with the kit. I also used dry transfer stencils from Hobbydecal (panel numbers & data)& seamless intakes. The dry transfer decal (a lot of them !!) are a must for big scale kits, it adds a lot of detail. PS : I'm now working on Trumpeter 1/32 FA-18F Diamond backs Greeeetz, Luc
  8. I made the F15, lots of work , but when finished it looks great, here's mine : http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b397/EagleDriver/F15E%20Finished/ Greeetz, Luc
  9. Nice Smoker. Did you apply post shading on the camouflage. Happy Modelling Luc
  10. Johan, Looking good so far. My kit arrived this week. One question : why arent you using the PE seat belts that come with the kit ? I'll follow your build, so when i start mine (in a year or so ) i know the "-" point of this kit. Greetzzzz, Luc
  11. I'm a very slow builder (last competed was a Tamiya F4J : on-off building for 2 years). So if i really want something, like the Academy Sufa, or the Trumpy F18F, then i buy it. 1. But i agree with you : better produce a AC with correct outlines & leave the engines /clear parts off..... 2. $ 230 for a su25 is very expensive (not my type of AC anyway) , i got my F18F (pre-order) for 100 Eu incl p&p (OK that's not cheap, but i work 2 years on that thing....). Regards, Luc
  12. Finally finished something after allmost 2 years on the bench (with some breaks of several months) Extra's added : 1.CAM decals 2.Dry transfer panel numbers 3.Aires cockpit set 4.FOD intake covers (perfect fit) 5.Eduard exhaust update set I weathered the AC, but did try to not overdue it, since it's a bicentennial editon. I used the Tamiya weatering sticks and pro modellers dark dirt wash. I removed some of the battle damage repair panels, but not all of them. Added wiring to the gear and cockpit. The decals from Tamiya "stink". Some of them broke in several pieces once they came out of the water. But it' s a great kit to build. PS the date on the pics is not correct, the pictures where taken today ! Greeeeetzzzzz, Luc Pics : Linky to ARC : My F4J
  13. Thanks for the info, it seems there are some other versions of wheels coming out. So i'll wait some time to check the other versions..... Luc
