  1. Anno 1938. Germany is hosting the world airshow at flughaven Berlin-Tempelhof. Most countries are still using bi-planes as their main defence. Britain is ahead with the Hurricane and Spitfire fighters. Germany is about to reveal their first jet powerd fighter/bomber drone. The world is in absolute shock by the sight of this amazing plane. Nothing like anyone has ever seen before. Flying faster, higher and further than any plane in the world. The "Adler" carries more bombs and armament than the heaviest allied planes of 1938. No other plane can compete. Nazi-Germany is sending a clear signal to the world not to intervene with their plans of world domination !! (PS:I did this in 32 nd some years ago too)
  2. Don't worry. I have five started kits at the moment.
  3. Hi, It's a very simple kit representing the 109. Not a lot of detail. And the "detail" there is, is nothing like the real thing. Very deep pannel lines. And the biggest mistake are the clear parts. The rear end is wrong.Look closely at the picture. I didn't notice it at first. But,from a distance it does look like a 109.
  4. Hi all, I'm joining in the " twins-GB" on Britmodeller. So,I might as well show it on LSP too. I shall build it as a nightfighter. Much easier to paint overall black.
  5. Why are the stripes smaller on this Spitfire ? I assumed they were a given a regulated width to be painted on all fighters.
  6. It does. But it doesn't look anything like the real thing. Not strong enough to hold the weight. And they will fail when folding them several times. There's a build here on LSP...
  7. I also have this planned as a possible build in the GB. Best is to build it with straight wings.
  8. Is that Fw one of the two planes flying over the beaches on D-Day ?
  9. Me 262 sounds good to me. But I rather see a B-P Defiant !
  10. Hi all, I recently bought the old Revell Beaufighter. Can this be build as a D-Day plane ? Or is this version to early ?
  11. A word of warning ! I bought the VFS P-40 kit some years ago. The plastic turned so brittle that I couldn't build it. I trached the whole box. Not sure if Kinetic kit has the same sort of plastic.
  12. Snake or no snake . There was a point in time that their was no snake painted yet. So painting with or without is both correct.Just my opinion.
  13. The kit I bought last WE has arrived. It's the very first release as it has swastika decals. I might have a go in asking Airfix if they would sell decals from the new release. I've build the STUKA long time ago. It still looks great.
  14. Did all the planes in that squadron have the snake,or just this one ?
  15. One of there best 1/24 kits. This re-release will have new decals. But the molds are the old ones. Like the Me 109 and Spitfire Mk1 they did as "vintage kits" At 97 Pounds or 112 Euro's still pricy. The old boxes can be found for around 50 to 60 Euro's ! So paying some 50 Euro's more just for the decals ? I would go with the overall sand option. Those code-letter markings can be easely found. I had a look at online shops in Belgium and found one . And I bought it ! 50 Euro's + 6,50 Euro's postage. Not a bad deal.
  16. Started the camouflage.First coat of brown. No need to rush this.Plenty of time left in the GB. I mix 50/50% matt and satin enamel fo get a soft shine
  17. Hi all, I had planned to use the old Revell Wildcat (Martlet) kit for a D-Day build in the upcomming GB. But I'm concidering to use the much better Trumpeter kit. Wich kit would be correct with invasion stripes. Does one of these have RN decals ?
  18. Dryfitted wing with closed gun pannels. Not much work. Just the LG-bay and upper wings.
  19. I have my mind set on the Mosquito and Martlet for the D-day GB.
  20. This kit is clearly designed to be build with open pannels. It took a lot of tape to get them fixed.
  21. Some progress. Fuselage done with extra plastic for a better bond. The cockpit can be added afterwards.(here dryfitted) No engine. All panels will be closed.
