  1. Fantastic job on the Bf 109G-10! I am building one of those right now (along with a Hasegawa Bf 109G-10) and I agree the assembly on a few of the parts on the Revell kit is over complicated compared to the Hasegawa kit, the spinner is especially over engineered and its a real head scratcher why they did it that way. If I can somehow crack the image posting problem I have with this site I hope to show the finished model. Matrixone
  2. Thank you Tango1! Kev, A few years ago I posted some images here with no trouble but that's not the case now. BTW, my name is Les King and thanks for offering to publish my work on the website. Les
  3. Thanks for the kind words! Wouter, The other day I tried the image button a few times and it did not work, I pressed the okay button but the pop up screen would not budge...not sure what to think about it. Other model sites that I have posted at the image button works perfectly, the one here seemed like it froze. Thanks for your reply. Kev, Sure, you can post the images on the website if you want to! Thanks for asking. John, Yes I have posted some pictures of this model elsewhere. Les
  4. Thanks for the comments guys! What did I (or did not) do that would not allow my images to be seen in my original post? Matrixone
  5. Thanks Wouter! Sorry about the pictures not showing...this modeling site is the only one where I could not post images and did it the only way I could. Les
  6. I have been a long time lurker and have decided to de-lurk and post some images of my recent large scale completion. This is my Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 built from the Hasegawa 1/32 scale kit, the model was built O.O.B. and the markings for ''red 18'' came from one of the excellent EagleCal sheets. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1620/1996958/24609557/410485338.jpg http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1620/1996958/24609557/410485355.jpg http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1620/1996958/24609557/410485336.jpg http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1620/1996958/24609557/410485350.jpg http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1620/1996958/24609557/410485341.jpg Matrixone
  7. Dave, The Iwata Revolution BR is a VERY good airbrush for painting plastic scale models and is not at all expensive compared to many other airbrushes. When I bought mine a few years ago I paid $70.00 for it. Below is a current 1/72 scale build that was painted with the Revolution BR. ...and below is a 1/32 scale Fw 190 (and the backdrop) painted with the same airbrush. You don't need to spend a lot of money to get a good airbrush these days but beware of those that say you should start out with a ''beginners'' airbrush and buy a more advanced airbrush later on. The Revolution BR is easy to operate and is a basic gravity feed airbrush and if you bought one there would be no need to buy another more advanced airbrush later on as your skills increase. I do have other more expensive Iwata detail airbrushes but they are rarely used anymore, whatever they can do the Revolution BR can do also but the BR does seem to work much better than the others when spraying paints made for models. Most of the paints I use are Model Master enamels and have had great success when using their brand of thinner. For clean up I use the cheapest thinner I can find, the Model Master thinner is only used for thinning paint. HTH Matrixone
  8. The finished Me 163 looks great James, nice work! Matrixone
  9. If your phone can take pictures that good why get a camera! I take all pictures of my models outdoors and like the results, I like your use of the natural horizon and it helps in the realism of your images. Matrixone
  10. The models are very well done but what makes them stand out is the photography...its hard to beat outdoor lighting for photographing scale models. Matrixone
