Hi Jeremy.
Enjoy the show.
I would be interested in hearing about it if you get chance.
I confess that I was put off by the fact that it is alongside model railways. Nothing against that but the promotion appeared to be quite biased in that direction.
I hope the scale model scene is well represented.
Another large model show in the middle of the year is very welcome.
Cheers,
Guy

Nice job.
That front 3/4 shot under natural light is particularly convincing

Thanks for the answer. I can understand that.
it would be nice with some super detailed wheel wells, tamiya have them moulded on to the intakes, which is a pain to deal with.
your exhaust looks fantastic, I'm definitely buying a set
Interesting.
Do you feel F-15 gear bays are necessary?
With most of the gear doors closed in normal operation not much is visible.
Could some side wall inserts suffice

Hi Artoor, I hope this chopper build resets your mojo.
The Whiskey is my favourite Cobra so I shall follow this build with interest.
Great stuff.

Lovely model Max and great pictures.
Your enthusiasm for the aircraft is evident in the way you've captured the look.
Entertaining and excellent result

Exciting stuff.
Good luck on your adventure. I'm confident that you'll get to grips with everything based on the results so far.
If I were setting out on this voyage of discovery I think I might not worry about little details like panel lines and rivets at first. Those are simple to replicate on a plain panel or component. I believe I would concentrate on getting the shape and appearance right at first and then begin to add more detail as I become more proficient.
It would be interesting to follow your progress.
Please don't be shy about sharing your experiments whether they are successful or not.
Cheers,
Guy

Hi Chuck.
I don't know if it's any help but this pic of a Danish F-16 just shows the fuselage flood light. The forward portion of the lens appears to be blanked over? I thought I recalled this feature from way back when I built a Viper.

Umm....we do know that Airfix is re-releasing their 1/24th scale P-51D later this year, right?
I guess all of the Mustang wishing is for a new tool like the Spitfire Mk IX?

Gosh how few jets make people’s list.
Hey Jim.
There's a couple of reasons for that.
Like it or not this is a prop-centric forum.
Just compare the number of views on prop v jet threads to see this.
Additionally many popular jets are comparatively larger than most props.
Although popular with many a 1/24th scale F-whatever is likely to be 50% larger than almost all warbirds.
However, if someone did release a 1/24th scale F-15 I'd be all over it.

Hi Michael, many thanks. I'm thrilled that you've enjoyed seeing the model.

Welcome to the Dark Side Seriously, it does look so much better, and frees you from being restricted to what's available in decals. Yours look great.
@MikeC. Thank you very much Mike.
You're spot on about masks being the future.
I appreciate everyone's kind words.
Cheers,

Looks superb Craig.
Perhaps you could try some gentle, localised heat using a blow torch of some kind to get the colouration?

Neat progress Richard.
Re: canopy masking.
Jen of Jenesis Designs and Modelcraft advocates self adhesive foil.
This video details her process from about 15minutes.
