  1. Added Takezo for 1. Ron, you're still good to go with 2.
  2. No price yet, we're still figuring out packaging and getting the final production costs hammered out. We'll use PayPal and we'll be able to ship internationally as well.
  3. Really nice, love the canvas covers and the weathering is beautiful.
  4. Turns out this "F-47N" actually downed a Mustang! I'll post details of that a bit later. Progress on Cockpit. I used the kit's cockpit almost stock. While it's not the greatest cockpit in the world, it does the job. I added solder wiring here and there, and throttle handles. Side walls: Floor, seat and side walls test fitted: Next up is IP and rudder pedals, then the PIT will be done and I can start to tackle the wing modifications. Comments and critiques welcomed! Cheers~
  5. Wow missed this one entirely. This is really coming together nicely, great idea and awesome execution!
  6. Got you both covered. For everyone interested, the sign-up roster is here.Check that post to see if I've got you down for one or more of these puppies.
  7. The flaps are two separate parts that cover each side and mate at the bottom. It's quite a simple solution but sure looks the part when done.
  8. We are not currently planning on an open flap solution. With a little modification, the current open set from MasterCasters will fit this set nicely. And frankly those cowling flaps are hard to beat...best in any scale IMO.
  9. PE and Partial Assembly Here is the production set assembled with cowling ring, panel fasteners, and cowling flaps (closed only) in photo-etch from Radu Brinzan. The cowling lip stiffeners/cylinder attachment brackets are not installed yet, but this gives you an idea of what the set looks like so far. All that is left is testing the final assembly on the stiffeners, and then making the instructions and setting up order fulfilment here on LSP. We're really close now, thanks for your interest and patience.
  10. Got both of you down now too phase and A340.
  11. Added you to the list for two Steve. We got the production casts late last week, but I am out of town on vacation this week. I'll post assembly of the final product next week! Thanks for looking in all~
  12. I'm working on an interesting project, converting the 1/18 21st Century Toys P-47D Bubbletop into a P-47N to represent a particular aircraft used by the Guatemalan Liberation Army in 1954. This aircraft got quite a reputation locally for daring strafing attacks. Here are a couple of pictures of "El Sulfato": I'm starting with this model, and another "donor" model for the much needed wing conversion. The plan Convert the D bubble into an N model. There are a few very large differences, most notably the wings are larger to accomodate long range fuel tanks added inboard of the landing gear in an extension of both the inner wing and flaps. The tips are more squared off as well. First step was to dissasemble the entire model. This was not hard at all, but there are screws holding the major components together and those needed to be pulled. The cockpit is poorly aligned (it's far too low in the fuselage) and I'll be fixing that as well as detailing the cockpit a bit more, along with the wheel wells. I'll need to work on the engine's reduction gear housing and magnetoes as they were very different on the N as well. Other plans include correcting the wheels and gear legs a bit, and covering the entire plane in foil for the bare aluminum finish "El Sulfato" wore into battle. Small progress so far I've made a new seat from brass sheet, and used Milliput to make a seat cushion and the headrest. I've added detail to the rudder pedals, added the "smooth" floor for the N, made seat braces from plastic rod and brass tubing, and used 1/18 race car seatbelts and wine-bottle foil to make a harness. Floor detail. I'll post more progress after the Holidays. Thanks for looking in~
  13. Looks great to me...but I'll take a stab... 1) Antennae broken off 2) Starboard wing-root has either thumb print or some other artifact. Did I win?
  14. Got the three of you guys added. Looks like we're entering production now, we'll have a retail price point shortly too! As soon as we get a production shot, I'll assemble it here in detail.
  15. Ray, you are down for 3 sir. For anyone interested the list of folks and how many cowlings they _may_ want is in this post. And Dan is correct, this will only fit the -1 series of F4Us.
  16. Added you for 2 Buzzz. Just getting initial production costs together, should have a production run in motion quite soon. The PE is quite nice, and as soon as we get a production run of all the components I'll post some pictures of a build up of the set.
  17. Moving slower than we had hoped, but we are about to start production in earnest. Thanks for your patience everyone!
  18. 10 years ago I bought a Revell P-47 and thought I'd get back into modeling. It was Jerry's correction parts that inspired me to finish the build and fueled my way back into this fantastic hobby! Thanks Jerry!!!!! In honor of all that Jerry has done for 1/32 over the past decade+ I suggest a Rutman Group Build!! Any thing that uses Rutman parts qualifies...? Staff?
  19. Jerry asked me to close his site down last week. I'm sure he'll chime in here when he drops in.
