  2. While I'm messing about trying to finish my 109e-3 thought I'd post my build of Tamiya's gorgeous Corsair F4U-1A I did a while back (I know, another one! But it's such a beautiful kit). The subject is Greg "Pappy" Boyington's 833 from the famous Black Sheep squadron VMF-214 based on Vella Lavella in late 1943. The kit was a pleasure to build with excellent engineering from Tamiya and plenty of detail to play with. As such, aftermarket was kept to a minimum only using Barracuda cockpit stencils and placards and Montex canopy and insignia masks. I scratchbuilt some additional engine

  3. I would like to show you the model of the jet that I love. A-6E Intruder from Trumpeter 1:32 scale as always, a model made straight out of the box. Therefore, some of the decals don't match the original. The Trumpeter A-6 model is one of the best models of this company in the 1:32 scale. Unfortunately, model it's quite complicated and demanding to build. However, this is one of those jets that you must have on your shelf. 1: 1 I 1:32

  5. I actually wrapped this one up today, and took some pics outside in the sun. It was a bit windy, so I may try some later without the white background when I'm sure it will be safe. As there is very little info available on these planes, I took some liberties. Here is the basic premise: - This plane (red 20, 196th IAP)) seems to be the only M-105 Klimov plane consistently depicted in model kits and renderings, though no photos of it seem to exist. I chose to do it because at least I am reasonably certain it actually existed. - As these were lend-lease aircraft, I assumed

  9. Hi, so another Israeli bird is out. It is an F-4E Kurnass 2000 number 650 from the Bat SQN, Tayeset 119. The F-4E kit from Tamiya is used as a basis. The building was quite comfortable, I did not encounter any major problems. I used the cockpit from Avionix, of course, supplemented with a modification of the Kurnass 2000 version, MFDs, few switches, and a new HUD were added. I also used the seamless intakes from RealModel and thanks to Miro Medzihradsky for the dimensionally accurate engine nozzles. The refueling probe and part of the decals from Isracast are complemented by Hebrew stenci

I have chosen to depict Red 10 of 10./NJG11, which was one of four Me262B nightfighters captured by the Allies at the end of the war. The aftermarket item list for this build is as follows: 1. Master FuG 218 Neptun brass radar assembly 2. Barracuda Me262 resin wheels 3. HGW Me262B fabric seatbelts 4. Eduard Me262B-1 Exterior set 5. Eduard Me262B-1 Interior set 6. A6M2b Zero (Houkoku 1045)

It is easy to get sidetracked when researching the A6M2. It will inevitably lead the enthusiastic reader to Canada, which it did in my case. I didn't know that Mitsubishi's competitor Nakajima built Zero's, or that there were subtle (and obvious) ways of knowing the difference. One of those differences, the white surround to the Hinomaru, was one of the major features I wanted to incorporate in this build, since it highlights the dark shade of the grey with which the Zero was painted. Then I discovered the concept of the Houkoku presentation number, and that became number two on the wish list!

    HPH FW 189 Uhu

Entering into the foray of my first full resin kit build, I decided on the 189 as its an unusual subject very rarely modelled in any scale let alone gods own 1/32. I have to say, I really enjoyed putting this together and while I did have a few issues of my own doing, generally, if the clean up is done correctly, it goes together well with few fit issues. The problem areas i encountered were around the following areas. Where the booms attach to the underside of the wings, a gap needs to be dealt with. The glazing at the rear of the fuselage where the tran

This is a cool looking airplane, although it never made production or even a prototype was ever built, i fell in love because is something new and different , this is the first model produced by a new manufacturer, DAS WERK , and the wood texture decals were made exclusively for it by uschi van der rosten. When you compared to a P-51D, this was i really small airplane as you can see in the last picture. i call it the ancestor or the grandpa of the A-10 by the position of the pulse jet engines and the twin rudder Jorge

Built almost straight from the box, I did add belts, .50 cals from Master Models, National ingsignia Stencils from DN-Models and standard Stencils from Profimodeller. Painted with Gunze Acrylics and Lacquer paints and weathered with Ammo of Mig washes etc. For all the Facebook users who are bored of seeing me spamming this, sorry :D

This model was built to represent the aircraft that Squadron Leader Graham Neil and Flight Lieutenant Ken Semmler flew during the Vietnam war on the 6 JUNE 1970. Both of these men were pilots in the Royal Australian Air Force and were part of the group of 36 that served as FACs under the USAF during the conflict. Graham was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross for his conduct as a Forward Air Controller during this mission. I haven't had the chance to show Graham the completed model yet due to Covid19, but I was able

I set about Trumpeters P-47D bubble top version and I was pretty pleased with the kit, I have but the Razorback version and that game me a lot of issues, so this was a surprise and a pleasure. I attempted for the first time a natural metal finish (NMF), so I tried using extreme metal paint by AK and I found them very fragile and had to have a change of plan. I opted for the Mr metal colour paints by Gunze and these were fantastic and very durable when applied. I added a few aftermarket pi

    B-25J Air Apache

This is my rendition of B-25J s/n 43-36199, as it would have appeared in late spring, 1945 in the Philippines. At the time, it was serving in the 501st Bomb Squadron of the 345th Bomb Group - the famed "Air Apaches." This group was famous for transforming the B-25 from a medium altitude bomber, to a low-level attack aircraft. With eight forward-firing M2 .50 caliber machine guns in the nose, and a potent bomb load, strafer B-25s savaged Japanese shipping all throughout the Pacific campaigns. This particular aircraft had its nose reconfigured to the strafer configuration in the fiel

    Bf-110F4 "ANA-WILLY"

Hello friends, After a long period of inactivity, today I managed to finish a project started a year and a half ago. Again I chose a difficult path, because nothing is known about this plane, except for a photo with a brief description. But I hope I managed to bring this subject to life. As a kit, I used a Dragon, D / E variant, to which I added the superb set from AIMS, Radu Brinzan's decals for the Romanian crosses and masks for AW from my good friend Catalin Botescu, completely riveted with Rosie the riveter, FuG202 from Gaspach Models, machine guns from MasterModels, seatbelts from

  31. Hi guys, I already showed this Bf 109 Emil a few months ago. But something bothered me ... During construction, due to my own fault, the rear part of the canopy cracked. Somehow I want to "cover up" this without covering the whole cabin with a tarpaulin. This is the story of why and how the idea for this little composition was born. The Bf 109 is Cyberhobby, the figure comes from Zoukei Mura's "Heroic Return" set, the cat is a white metal product of the Japanese Aurora Model. I hope you like it! Sándor

Given the effort I put into Chico I wanted to go back and correct this. At there same time there were some bloopers on my original build, for example the windows on the Rockeyes I mastered were too large. The cracks were really deep so I had to sand down to plastic on the affected areas. For some reason the water from the wet sanding sort of silvered all decals that the sanding water came into contact with

I've recently finished my Trumpeter 1/32 Harrier GR7 of IV(AC) Sqn RAF Laarbruch, Germany in 1994 (I served on this Sqn and worked on this aircraft) The kit is woefully inaccurate but with the help of serious amounts of resin extras (from a fellow modeller on BM) I hope I've been able to create a quite reasonable model of the real thing. Paints are all Tamiya XF-81 Dark green 2 RAF for the top sides and XF-71 Cockpit Green for the undersides. Resin or Brass: Nose section, BOL rails, BL755 Cluster Bombs, CBU8

Uschi filament for the antenna and small plastic/metal bits to improve the appearance of this well known Gustav. Painted with Model Master enamels (RLM 78/79/80), clear coated with acrylic Mr. Color matt and gloss varnishes. Decals from the box. National emblems, A/C number and tactical markings masked and sprayed accordingly. Hope you like it! It's my first finished model in one and a half decade!

    P-51D Dixie Boy

I just found these pics today, as I found a "Photobucket Transition" folder today with ALL of my PB pics in it including Dixie Boy............... This was a 1/32nd Hasegawa P-51D that I re-scribed and fully foiled and polished for one of my first customers (Fred) who was an active member on LSP many years ago. It was also my first polished foil job, as well as one of my first foil projects overall, so things are a bit rough in places. Dixie Boy was a civilian P-51D that was owned by a millionaire friend of Freds who had initially requested the model and when hearing my price (IIRC
