I'm almost done with my Zoukei-Mura Ta152H-1. I also bought their accessory figures for this aircraft, consisting of five groundcrew pushing the plane, along with two more lads loading the MK108 through a hatch just behind the engine. These two figures are superb (as are the others) - but they came with long belts of ammo which were ridiculously brittle, and which proved impossible to get off the casting block without them disintegrating.

Since I've bought items from MDC before (multiple SC100 and SC50 bombs, two bomb trolleys and a set of groundcrew for one of these) - re-enter stalwart Bob with two packs of his exquisitely-cast MK108 ammo belt shells in soft, flexible resin, along with some DB605 engine serial no. decals for a future Kotare 109K.

But the order also included a little handwritten note from Bob apologising for the delay, and chucking in two sets of Luftwaffe instrument dials along with a sheet of Duralumin manufacturer's stamps which will look a treat on the vast swathes of unpainted aluminium on the underside of the 152.

He didn't have to do that - but he did. I'd like to publicly thank him for his kindness and consideration. Top bloke right there - cheers mate.

Hi,

As for the last couple of years we are not trading at SMW

BUT this year I will be putting on a resin vacuum casting demonstration in the demo area in hall 3 on both days probably just after 11.00

It will be aimed at entry/hobby level using basic equipment and the most suitable materials with the aim to show that resin casting is fairly simple task and not alchemy (that comes later with mercury free clear resin)

Will be about both days so will be happy to help with any questions.

NOW any LSPrs up to give some demos 2018 !!!

All the best

The latest one is we now need a phone number before Royal Mail will accept the packet.

So if you are ordering from the US please include your phone number Thanks !!

May I suggest that MDC widens the availability of the various Bf109 G/K interiors again?

The MDC interior sets are indeed the best there are, for several reasons:

-The sidewall detail is rather "deep", very sharp and vivid. This is really a benefit as the RLM66 is a rather dark grey, it tends to darken the interior. You need any help with contrast you can get! This also makes detail painting easier and makes the use of washes and dry brushing easy. In my eyes they are pieces of art, kudos to Vincent Kermorgant!

-The instrument decals are again the best that I know of (together with the ones in Barracuda studios sets).

-The etched details are very fine and the modeller gets a spare set of belts every time. The separate buckles together with lead foil makes just wonderful belts. The modeller gets a spare pair of rudder pedals as well, as two pairs are included.

	-They are very accurate.

Together all this makes these sets very complete and just a wonderful value!

The total numbers needed by the modelling community should be rather high really, considering all the kits from Hasegawa, Trumpeter, Revell and Zoukei Mura. Since all these kits have the same basic dimensions these sets can be tweaked into the donor kits with ordinary modelling skills. Even the Bf109F made with some small detail modifications.

Now add the new Kōtare K-4 as well. The K-4 set for those who would like to gild the lily even further. Or G sets for those that would like to backdate this beautiful kit into earlier G versions like G-10, G-14/AS, even G-5/AS or G-6/AS.

Zoukei Mura has announced earlier G's.

I have hoarded these conversions for some time, searching for them on the internet. But they should be generally available, really!

	Hi Guys,

We have had a few mails about MDC are no longer trading.

I can assure you this is far from the truth we are alive and well at Theddlethorpe !!

I admit we had some site and mail problems during an enforced upgrade by our store provider but all is now well and looking to the future.

Hope to have some new items shortley as always no information until we have stock ready ( I could have a rant about lists that are published with no hope in hells chance of attaining ) but that could be for a later post, how about "grumpy old buggers rant" (hope I can say that).

	Hi guys

I found a few of these decals in my archive. If someone needs them, please PM me.

Unfortunatly they do not contain the correction extra roundels we added later on so you'd have to source or mask the missing roundel

The original plan was to do some plaster casting with our new line of moulds for dioramas, but the plaster delivered was not the best for the job. So resin casting without vacuum will be the order of the day .

The idea is that some pieces are a bit bulky so are expensive and cost the earth to post, so the idea is sell the mould so you can make as many as you need, you can sell them if you want, but the cost of materials and postage will have the same problems that I had.

	Hi Guys,

Just a heads up on what I am up to over the weekend, as for the last couple of years I co-ordinate (ish) the demo area.

	This year we have

Myself on fillers and plaster casting (more on this later)

Eddie Fisher from Zealot Miniatures on 3D

Albion alloys with their sander range

	Mission Model paints

That takes us up to lunch

John Adams of Aeroclub will have workshop in the afternoon.

Will have another couple of things shortly.

	Bob

Hi Guys,

Barer of bad news we have just had to put some of our prices up basically raw materials from resin to rubber and even bloody cardboard boxes, as none of our resins and rubbers are UK produced we have taken a few hits on them over the last few years.

I think we had a price rise about 10 years ago.

So sorry about that, I could name a number of factors but that's life we just have to sort it out.

Hi,

The project we bought about 3 years ago (a semi derelict pub) has been converted into a large house is finally sold.

We have bought a old farmhouse and outbuildings on the Lincolnshire coast, the original parts of the house dates back to 1580 we are still going through a pile of papers that we got with it and have got back to 1731 so far.

The idea is to convert the outbuildings into workshops and self contained accommodation, holiday lets in the summer and I intend to run courses in the winter, watch this space !!

Now for the good part I am having a serious de-stash and will have some 1/32 available everything will be at good prices and if you are local there is a good selection of books.

Will update in a day or so
