Hi,

After a few months of work i just finished master parts for Yakovlev YAK-3 1/32 scale Soviet WW II fighter.
Hope today i'll start the silicone moulds making, and will inform all the LSP modelers about YAK-3 resin model progress.

I try to keep the YAK details accurate as possible with all the soft and uneven panel lines, stressed wooden and aluminium skin represented.

Have nice preserved YAK-3 example in Belgrade, Yugoslav Aviation Museum (one of two preserved originaly built YAK-3s in the world, another one is Paris museum).
So, here i am "IN ACTION" , taking detail pictures of this YAK-3 in Belgrade. I make some 150-200 shots, and do some measurements and sketches, just to be sure that i can made nice representation of this plane in 1/32 scale.

and some YAK-3 soft and uneven panel line details, just for refference.

Looks like built in Russian AVIAZAVOD MATCHBOXSKII.

I made this kit for myself and few friends, but limited number of kits will be offered for sale, on Ebay and here on LSP site.
Have no exact price yet, but will announce it very soon.

With the kit resin parts will be included vacformed canopy (2x) canopy frame die cut mask, airbrushing die cut insignia mask for VVS (Soviet) , France-Normandie-Niemen and Yugoslav YAK-3s. Within the kit will be included multimedia CD rom with arranged photo galeries(above mentioned photos from Yugoslav Aviation Museum), color profiles, scale drawings and informations for accurate building and detailing the YAK-3 kit.

Hope this weekend i'll start the building the first YAK-3 kit for my collection,
Best regards,

cool.gif wow Nenad, A Yak 3. What an awesome plane. I read they are still making brand new ones as sport planes. There's one not far from me.

A LSP production runs sounds like a plan eh?

Cheers Matty

Hi LSP friends,

Here i am again, with more new models in work.

A1H Skyraider build was done, look here:
SKYRAIDER and i was in the modeling mood and decide to finish 3 YAK's , which i started and photographed together with Skyraider project.
Yak-3 kit is from my own casting production and i want to build all three schemes offered witthin the box , for Aeropoxy site photo galery.
In fact, four were offered, but two are from the same unit, Normandie Nieman, No 14 and No22, i chose no 14. Another two chosen are Yugoslav AF Yak 3 from 1946 and third is Yellow 74 from unknown VVS unit.

So , i started with cleaning and sanding all the surfaces, first fuselage,
IPB Image

Then wing leading and trailing edges,
IPB Image

and carb intakes,
IPB Image

Glued,
IPB Image

and filled with superglue and resin dust,my favourite technique for resin kits.

To be continued...
