scvrobeson
Hey LSP hivemind. Got a question for you guys. I'm rather interested in building an F-86L for an upcoming contest, since the theme is going to be California history. The Cal ANG used the F-86L, but there isn't a straight kit of that on the market in 1/32. So, how do you go about converting to an L? Do you have to cross-kit the Kittyhawk kits? Or is it possible to build it completely out of one of the boxes? Thanks for the help guys Matt MikeMaben
MikeMaben
Hey Matt , you'll need the wings from an F-86F-40. I don't know the difference between the different kits (I'm sure others will ) but this lays out what you'll need pretty well : http://www.joebaugher.com/usaf_fighters/p86_18.html
allthumbs
Use the wings from the KittyHawk F-86K boxing, the F-86D boxing for every thing else. scvrobeson
allthumbs
The leftovers could be combined to make an early F-86K, as the first batches were delivered with the D wing. Edited January 4, 2018 by allthumbs scvrobeson
