Pretty cool!  Now THAT is the direction the hobby should be going................Id say if they can make a fully flying 5th or 6th scale Spit, then can make some pretty neat much smaller parts that could in fact be very useful indeed.

Didn't FliteTest have a 3d-printed P-38 a year or two back as well? It is amazing stuff.

I was messing around with one of their foam board flying wings a few months back. The resonance of the prop through the foam made it sound like a drunk bumble bee who just drank a case of red bull (= sounded hilarious) but man, that thing is a good flier!

@ Out2gtcha,

I guess you never checked our Anyuta 3D printed scale models. Right? Well, in case you didn't (during the last 5 years we design and produce 3D printed complete scale model kits, miniature parts and accessories for manufacturers, museums and individual hobbyists & scale modelers), feel free to have a look on some Spitfire related parts that could fullfill your wish.

Regards,

Nick / Anyuta 3D

@ Out2gtcha,

Well, actually there ARE! The Anyuta 3D products catalog you see there, is just a sample of products list - there are nearly 12000 (twelve thousand plus!) different 3D models of miniatures, figures, model kits & diorama accessories, which are not published yet (or not publicly visible) but always available for sale according customer's wishes. Whatever a scale modeler and hobbyist may ask, what ever a modeler may need. Aircrafts? Helicopters? Boats? Human figures? Tractors & CATerpilars? Cars? Military vehicles? Rocket launchers? You name it!

You see, as long as there IS a 3D model already designed, it can be produced, almost under any scale...

Regards,

Nick / Anyuta 3D
