Howdy folks,

Hot off the presses:

And a couple of CAD images:

For those wondering about the scheduled release of the A-12 variant, this has been shelved for the moment, so as not to duplicate the Z-M kit.

These releases have really surprised me ... 2 companies releasing high quality Do.335's in multiple variants ...

I honestly wouldn't have thought the subject would be that popular ...  :o

Meanwhile no-one's even looked at a Do.17z :(

Don't get me wrong ... I've been sorely temped a couple of times ... especially the 'A' variant which actually flew before hostilities ceased in Europe.

But with an injection Lancaster, Whirlwind, Typhoon ... and a full resin A-20 kit on the way ... discipline is required

Rog :)

Could it be because there are Extant 335's to measure and crawl around, and until fairly recently ,there were no 17s , perhaps when the wreck they dragged off the Goodwin sands has been stabilized , and is made available fro researchers, then we'll see the Pencil appearing in Plastic , finally!

... Could be ... but there are Do.17's in 1/48 ... and plenty of reference materials, photo's drawings etc ... Crécy (Classic Publications) even released a book on the 215 an even rarer bird.

... I doubt that the lack of a bird to climb all over is the issue.

... Stabilised ... I'm guessing it'll look like some sort of modern art sculpture. Certainly it doesn't seem like there's much left of use that could be measured.

still ... hopefully someone will see the empty slot in the BoB line up soon.

Rog :)

Can we please keep the comments about the kit in question.

Quite why a thread regards a new kit almost immediately turns into a wants list is beyond me.

Im really amazed there are this many Do335s in 32nd honestly. I really do like the look of the night fighter, but already having their Do335A this one for me is a bit less likely. I have to say, with it basically being a what-if paint scheme, it seems there would be a lot of room for some cool night fighter schemes here though.

I hope they will add the parts and decals for D-335 M17, which was captured and completed by French and German personnel. Finally it was flown in 1947.

Not interested in a "what-if" plane. Now I have to go with ZM for the A-12, even when I don´t like the clear main parts.

another late war luftwaffe nightfighter? and why not?  :)

I was not excited at all that HKM planned to bring another 2 seat trainer, but this version caught me when I saw it in the Valiant Wings Do 335 book.

So yes, I will get one  :)
