Sparzanza
Well I'm pleased to say that the Focke-Wulf is completed. I'm not 100% happy with it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pleased. This Focke-Wulf had previously been gathering dust on a shelf for twelve years before being sold to me. Thanks Boris. Thanks again to reconspit for sending me 4 pairs of swastikas - meaning I have enough for two more 1/24 Luftwaffe planes. Thanks to everyone that cheered me on as well, making this build even more fun. It's OOB except for the seatbelts (my first ones ever). I painted it with Humbrol Enamels and brush/sponge. Here's some pictures for yous to enjoy - hopefully they're not too crappy! Lee White
I see that you got the fan properly recessed in the cowl... Good job on fixing a glaring error on this kit!

BradG
Yeh, looks pretty good. Have you depicted any particular aircraft?
Sparzanza
Yeppers! But I know it wasn't Hans-Joachim "Hajo" Herrmann that flew it. If somebody does know, feel free to tell. I'm curious. Edited June 24, 2013 by Snussugen

LSP_Mike
Not bad! In this scale you should be able to replicate the mottling with a rattle can shooting through a mask(cardboard) or maybe a more open cell type of sponge or foam. What's next? Sparzanza
Thanks for your comments guys! @ Scanman & LSP_Mike .. you both want to know what's next! Well, so do I! It's basically choosing between the Airfix BF109E and the Airfix Hurricane. It's a very hard choice for me. The 1/24 Spitfire is also rather tempting.. all of them have been built in my teens (Mustang as well), but it's the BF109 and Spit that I have the fondest memories of. I remember bringing the 109 to school once in my backpack. Wings sticking out of its sides.. haha. I think it'll be the 109. Maybe. Bah. And regarding mottling with a rattle can... that would be cheating, wouldn't it? The sponge I use is a regular kitchen sponge.. but cut with scissors into different sizes for different jobs. I don't think the mottling turned out too bad, so I'll stick to that technique! Edited June 24, 2013 by Snussugen
DaneBramage
Cool. I had never seen that scheme before. That's the primary scheme for the decals in the kit. Snussegen EXCELLENT job!!!
Sparzanza
Thank you kindly for your nice comments, DaneBramage & Maru. While I wait to afford my next large kit next month, I have started building the two 1/48 Eduard Focke-Wulf 190D's that Boris gave me for free. They're so small!
