LSP_K2
Who says I can't multi-task? Since my goal is to finish (at least), one each prop and jet in the next year, I thought I'd begin playing with this, the Hasegawa Fw 190F-8. My reasoning was as follows: I already had the Eagle Parts pit and wheels, as well as decals, paints, Master MG barrels, Quickboost resin exhausts, and Aires wheel wells, so I have to spend virtually nothing on it at this point, (at least I hope so anyway). LSP_K2
This baby will be armed to the teeth, with one SC250 on CL, and four SC50’s on wing pylons. The kit has a gorgeous SC250 resin bomb, but the SC50’s are a bit “fiddly”.
LSP_K2
Most likely, I’ll use the scheme as found on the Revell kit.
dodgem37
Are these two kits one and the same? Thank you. Sincerely, Mark
LSP_K2
Are these two kits one and the same? Thank you. Sincerely, Mark Good question. I really have no idea, I sold my Revell kit some years back.
Martinnfb
No they are not, The revell's kit is basicly hasegawa old mold with addition of the "bomb" sprue. I will follow this build with interest, i am also planning another "F" in the near future Cheers Martin
LSP_K2
Resin CL bomb is real nice.
LSP_K2
One thing I really don't understand (or like), is the way engine has to be trapped between upper and lower cowls. None of this is glued up yet, I'll paint first. Seam on interior will be virtually invisible though, so I suppose it'll be OK.
LSP_K2
The Quickboost exhausts are also very nice. maarten boersma
LSP_K2
Is it reasonable to assume that the F-8 used the Revi 16b sight?
dodgem37
'Is it reasonable to assume that the F-8 used the Revi 16b sight?' Yes. Aero Detail 6 FW190A/F, page 62. 'Revi 16B gun sight used A-7 and later versions.' Sincerely, Mark LSP_K2
LSP_K2
OK, cool. I already ordered the Quickboost gun sights to use on this baby.

LSP_K2
The very nice resin pit and sidewalls.
LSP_K2
Engine gets some stainless steel and black paint. It's doubtful I'll do very much to the engine, as so little can be seen beyond the cooling fan blades.
