Finished this one this evening. Paint is Alclad II with a combination of kit decals and Hussar Decals. Outstanding fit throughout and a pleasure to build. I added the two antennas on the rear fuselage and the single antenna under the nose from my spares box. I used Barracuda Cast cockpit/radio, etc after market items which added a lot to the finished look. Wheels are from Grey Matter. Seat belts are the new FineMolds Nano Aviation flexible plastic US WW II (just got 'em this afternoon).I just couldn't bring myself to dirty up this one!

Agreed! I like it, how did those Hussar decals work? Have toyed with buying a set.

Cool build, I really like it! Very colorful......................question though, on the VLR Mustangs were those antennae really wood like that? If so, how did they work then, wire up in the middle or something?

Curious............

Someone said Tamiya might have wrapped it up with this kit...but you nailed it down with this build.
Very nice.

The Hussar Decals worked just fine. Nice and thin, etc. Recommended.

Yes, they were made of wood. Must have worked okay as far as I know. Thanks for the compliment!

Base color is Duraluminum. I used aluminum and dark alum. on certain panels. Kinda hard to see in the photos but "in person" they show up really well.
