Hi:

Well, got my hands on the 1/32nd scale Ju 87 B from Trumpeter. OOB, I must admit it looks OK! I like the internal wing structure bracing providing rigidity for the finished model. Why Trumpeter couldn't have done that for their Fw 200 (which really needs it) is beyond me. Oh well...

However, having read some of the posts on this and other forums about minor accuracey issues, are there any resin parts pending for it?

Looks like it could use a new centre-line bomb. I really have not too looked to closely at the wheel covers yet, however others have pointed out problems. The kit instructions also indicate that the siren for the wheel covers not there. Again, I'll need to check the contents more thoroughly.

Any other insights?

Dave:

Thanks for the link. I knew there had been some discussion about it. Looks like the usual Trumpeter mixed bag, but overall OK in my opinion.

Now, if the resin casting people would only sit up and take notice, a good Ju 87 could be the result!

MDC could have the bomb (and maybe even a bomb cart if your inclined) taken care of

Anyone working on mods for an early B for Spanish Civil War use?

If they had only issued the A instead, I'd be very happy.

Add the Top Hat or Jolanthe the Pig and that splinter camo to a Ju87A and you have the best combination. Spanish Civil War planes are some of the most interesting. Thanks for a great photo.

I was under the impression that Trumpy first announced this kit as an "A" model, but then someone told them it is actually a "B", and they renamed it. So, as far as I know, no "A" kit on the way, as much as I'd like to build one for my SCW collection.

Hi Doug - they originally announced a whole family of '87s including the A and B and I've not seen anything yet to say they're not doing the Anton...
