Hi guys,

Since I need decals for my conversion, I will be making a very limited run of early Pacific P-38s. Only 2 markings per sheet.
Only 2 of the most wanted by you will make it to the printer.
So please start sending your wanted one. Please send only one per modeler, not 2 not 3, OK?
Let's keep this simple.
The 2 with most votes will win. Since this version is only available with a resin conv. I will make only 25 sets.
Thanks for participating.
I have 2 favorites but you will decide which ones go in.

How about either Rex Barber's or Tom Lanphier's mount from the mission to shoot down Adm. Yamamoto?

I'm no expert, but certainly Barber's "Miss Virginia" is my #1 choice. This is especially true because no one (IIRC) currently makes accurate roundels in the correct size. I had some masks made up for me, but roundels would be nifty for others looking to back-date the Trumpy kit.

Dick Bong flew early P-38s before "Marge" in 1944 (see photo below which is NOT the bare-metal "Marge" named for his fiancee whom he met on a tour Stateside). I would be interested in the details about that plane's markings as a possible #2.

Dick Bong's pre-Marge plane. His first combat tour was with the 49th Fighter Squadron. Not many photos or information about it.

Is that an aircraft of Bong's Bill? Not seen it before. It would be easy enough to get some masks made.
