Building this for a display at the Pax River Museum, the aircraft of VF-14. Unfortunatly nobody makes 1/48 decals for VF-14 after all of my searching. This is the older (read raised panel lines) version of the F-4B/N kit. Went together well, removed a few things to make not a true "early F-4B", but somewhere in between. If you desire to see work up to this point, here is a link: http://zone-five.net...ead.php?t=20324

So over the last few days I have been using about 4 different sheets (old Phantom and newer Demon sheets) to mix/match something together so at least she "looks" like she kinda came from VF-14.

Cheers
Collin

Lets see.... decals done, sealed with a light coat of Future. Drops and pylons on...then a overall coat of Alclad Semi-Sheen...then removed the canopy masking and cleaned that up. Actually starting to look like real Phantom. Landing gear and Winders/Sparrows are next.
Cheers

That's looking very neat mate! Is it going to be weathered, or a you leaving it clean and fresh looking?

Clean and fresh... clean and fresh. Some of the preshading gives it some character, but not over the top.

I don't believe I'll ever grow weary of looking at Phantom kits. The Rhino being built right here has spoiled me for life. :punk:
