Well, it's not my best work but it's passable for my first model in about two years. It fought me tooth and nail with the paint finish but here it is in all its colors (plus a little weathering). I used Floquil Japanese ID Orange/Yellow for the ID bands on the wings and the band on the fuselage. cockpit was painted with Aeromaster Mitsubishi Interior green with some select portions being painted the same color from White Ensign Colorcoats. Underside Floquil IJN Grey with Aeromaster Mitsubishi IJN Green on top. Anti-Glare panel is Aeromaster Cowl Blue-Black. Seatbelts are simple masking tape with no frills added. Panel lines accented with HB pencil and paint chipping/wear done with Prismacolor silver pencil and some selected silver drybrushing. Overcoated with Testors Dullcote and given a slight metallic sheen with 0000 steel wool.

Looks good Tim! I don't see any evidence of the problems you had at all. Well done! Good to finally get one done, eh?

Tim, I think you're like me, your own worst critic. That's a first class build, looks great!

You're all too kind. Thanks for the great comments. I've got a quick Hetzer build (1/35 armor) for a contest then it's on to a 1/32 Ki-61-1 Tei using the Wolfpack conversion.

Agreed- very sharp build! Having issues with my kit, those inserts for the cowl gun openings are giving me fits!
