Hi Simon;

Best wishes to your Dad. Hope everything is back to normal for you all soon. Family comes before everything else! We can all wait for the details of the new release, but we all know that it will be another masterpiece regardless of the type. Silver Wings really are my favourite company because you have given me models in 1/32 I'd never thought I'd see...namely the beautiful and colourful inter-war RAF bi-planes. I'm truly grateful!

Best wishes;
Steve

Sorry to hear about Wojtek! Please tell him to get well soon! Health is more important than any model. You guys have given us so many interesting subjects, I am sure this next one will be just as exciting. But we can wait awhile longer for everyone to be healthy.

At Silver Wings, we are pleased to kick off 2012 with another new kit! As always, we are grateful that modelers have recognized our dedication to bringing you highly detailed, quality kits made with the modeler in mind. With the support and encouragement of our customers and retailers, we have worked very hard to improve our processes and ability to bring you more kits of interesting subjects. We have very ambitious plans for 2012 (including the possibility of kits in injected plastic) and hope that you will enjoy the new kits we plan to release.

We are therefore pleased to announce that our first kit for 2012 is a 1/32 Armstrong Whitworth Siskin IIIA!

The Siskin, arguably one of the least attractive of all inter-war RAF biplanes was nonetheless one of the most prolific with at least 450 examples being built (340 IIA’s). the Siskin served from 1925 to 1939 with the 11 RAF Squadrons and 12 examples were provided to the RCAF.

We are pleased to offer this kit in two colourful options, with decals for aircraft from both 29 and 43 Squadrons RAF.

Predicted availability date - the end of February/beginning of March 2012.

Additional information about this exciting new kit will be coming soon! Be sure to check out website (www.silverwings.pl) for the latest information and pictures!

The Silver Wings Team

Nice choice of markings. I did guess right, but alas... :(

Hope Wojtek's better.

An injection kit... :hmmm:

Fantastic! The one I've been waiting for. I developed a liking for the Siskin after building the lovely little Matchbox kit as a kid (Still got four in the stash to build!)

Thanks Silver Wings for bringing this wonderful kit to us all. The marking choices are so nice, I'm just going to have to buy two of them!

...And we have the prospect of more on the way! Bristol Bulldog maybe??

Thanks again!

Regards;
Steve

So, I'm guessing we will not see any US 1930s types from Silver wings? Maybe a silly question....

in progress:
1/35 Su-85/ winter- attach to base
1/32 DH-9a USMC
1/32 Mig-3:winter paint and weathering: in progress and base
Yacht America need some parts.
NEXT UP: Me-109G2/R6-on hold
I'm so far behind, I think I'm in first place...
Yes, I built models when I was a kid too.... no they're not toys....
